dear expectant mother

There aren’t enough words to express the immense gratitude we have for you. Thank you for taking a moment to read about us and considering us on your journey. We can’t begin to understand what you may be feeling or what reading each of these profiles may mean to you exactly, but we do know just being here shows the enormous amount of love you have for your child.

Should you choose us, we want you to know that within our family, your child will be loved unconditionally. They will grow up understanding where they came from, and we will raise them with a reverence for their past so they can grow into a strong, confident person. We will do everything we can to keep them safe, support them in their education, help foster their imagination, and always be by their side as they reach for their dreams. We believe honesty, love, support, and family are key for a child's growth, their understanding of their place in the world, and the power they possess to change it in positive ways.

We hope to make a connection as you go through this experience, and we wish to be your allies in this process for the success of your child. We understand the immense responsibility that comes with adoption and the complex emotions that accompany this decision. We hope to get to know you as we all work toward a bright future for your child.

There aren’t enough words to express the immense gratitude we have for you. Thank you for taking a moment to read about us and considering us on your journey.

About Us

Corie grew up in the mountains of North Carolina and is a senior digital manager for a large technology company. Davey is from the suburbs of Texas and is part of the sales leadership and management team of a legal services provider. Even though we may not agree on whether a toboggan is a type of hat or sled, there was an instant connection the day we met, and we’ve been building our lives together ever since. We love to travel and make sure to plan at least one big trip per year. We believe spending quality time together and making memories is one of the best things to do as a family. If we aren’t out exploring new parts of the city, you can usually find us working on a new Lego project, cooking dinner together for a movie night, or listening to music while playing board games.

Our Home & Pets

Our home is in a newly built neighborhood filled with children of all ages. We’re also less than a ten-minute drive to the best schools in the district. Our home is two stories, with three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, two living areas, and a fenced-in backyard with plenty of room to play. We’re excited to spend time at the neighborhood park teaching your child how to fish at the pond and walking to the city library to find a good book. Currently we share our home with our eight-year-old shih-tzu, Archer. We’re sure he’s excited at the prospect of a new addition to the family, if only so he doesn’t have to be the only one hearing our dad jokes.

Our Extended Family

Davey’s the second oldest of four siblings, is an uncle to a five-year-old niece who adores us, and has more close cousins than we can keep track of spread throughout Texas and Michigan. Corie’s the oldest of two brothers and has extended family in Washington. Though we may not all be in the same state, Davey, his siblings, and his cousins get together every few months on Zoom, and the family group chats are always lively. Corie keeps in touch with his family through text constantly and talks to his mother on the phone at least twice a week.

Every Christmas and Thanksgiving, we spend the holidays at either Davey’s dad’s or aunt’s house with extended family throughout Texas. They trade off hosting duties each holiday, and it’s always a great time being surrounded by family, food, games, and laughter. We never finish out the night without a family pool tournament. Some years we travel to North Carolina to spend Christmas and New Year’s at our second home in the mountains with Corie’s family and enjoy the snowy winters. The excitement of us adopting is all our families can talk about!

What Led Us To Adoption

We both knew we wanted to become fathers long before we met. It was even a topic of discussion on our first date! Corie has family members who have recently gone through the adoption process, and Davey has family and friends who were adopted themselves. Our support system has been amazing, and seeing the positive experience they have within their families excites us to begin our own. We are looking forward to being able to grow our family and raise a child in a home full of love, support, and compassion.
