dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We are honored and grateful to be considered as the adoptive parents of your baby. We want you to know we will love him or her unconditionally, and we will keep your baby safe and healthy and provide every opportunity possible for him or her. We can’t even imagine the difficult decision you are making, but we want you to know we will support you in every way possible through this journey and even after your baby is born.

Your baby will grow up knowing the incredible amount of love and care that went into their becoming a part of our family, and our family will be one that’s full of love, happiness, respect, and laughter. We cannot wait to be parents and are excited for all of the joys and tears we know it will bring. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your consideration. We cannot wait to meet you and your baby.

We cannot wait to be parents and are excited for all of the joys and tears we know it will bring.

About Us

We met while living in adjacent small towns in Northern California. We knew from our first date that this relationship was different and soon realized we were meant for each other. We have the same goals and interests, family and faith values, and more. We consider ourselves fun, outgoing, and caring people and love just spending time with each other. Our families are very important to us, and we have an incredibly supportive group of friends. We’re passionate about our jobs, with both of us working in similar industries. Patrick works in hospitality management, while David works in hospitality and tourism marketing, which we feel complement each other. We enjoy playing board games and keeping track of who is winning while listening to music. We cook dinners together and also enjoy trying out new restaurants. We’re passionate about travel, reading, the arts, history, and more.

Our Home

We recently moved to Texas after living in California for the last few years. We had a move with one of our careers that brought us to this wonderful city and have enjoyed living here. It’s an up-and-coming neighborhood that is very safe and fun and has a lot of young families and space to raise a child. We currently live in a two-bedroom apartment on the first floor with a large patio and a modern, open floor plan. There are plenty of places to walk to from our apartment, from parks and the river to the grocery store, restaurants, and shops. We are looking to move into a house nearby soon. We own a home in California as well that we currently rent out.

Our Extended Family

David grew up as the middle child of two brothers. All of David’s immediate family lives in the Maryland area, with an older brother and sister-in-law and three nephews, a younger brother and sister-in-law, and his parents. We love our nephews so much and FaceTime with them a few times a month as well as see them a few times each year. We get together on holidays every year with David’s family and go on a vacation.

Patrick grew up in a family of three kids as well with one older brother and a twin sister. We have been blessed to live near them for the last few years in California, just a few minutes down the street. His parents lived just an hour away in Southern California as well, so we have been able to spend a great deal of time with them. Patrick’s twin sister and brother-in-law just had their first child, who we try to FaceTime as much as possible.

We both honor being Uncle P and Uncle D to our seven nieces and nephews and absolutely adore our parents. Both of our parents are an inspiration to our relationship.

What Led Us To Adoption

Both of us have always wanted kids, and we actually went over this fact on our first date. We absolutely love our nieces and nephews and have a ton of friends that have kids, and we knew this was the path we wanted to take. We both grew up with siblings and knew how special it was to not only love and be taken care of by our parents but to enjoy life with our siblings and cousins. We think we are well poised to have children of our own and want to begin this journey as soon as possible.
