Family Type: Gay Couple
State We live in: Utah

dear expectant mother

It takes an incredibly strong and kind heart, as well as an enormous amount of courage, for such a journey. We understand this is a difficult, big, and very brave decision you are making, and we want you to know we are here for you.

If you choose us as parents, we promise to love your child unconditionally and to be there front and center to support them in all of life’s adventures. We will celebrate all their victories and help them to see the lessons learned in their losses. We will raise them to be confident, kind, and caring. We will go to the ends of the earth to make sure they live a life filled with laughter, love, and opportunity.
We believe it’s important to discuss adoption with a child from an early age, and we’re comfortable with whatever level of openness you’d like to have. We plan to honor and respect your relationship with your child through open discussions, a lifebook, and talking about you and your family.

We cannot express how excited and grateful we are for your consideration. We look forward to connecting with you and being there for you through this journey.

About Us

We have been together for almost nine years and married for six. We met while we were both attending an event. We hit it off right away and have been inseparable ever since. We are both extremely outgoing and fun-loving people. We support one another and have learned we can count on each other no matter what life presents. We know how to comfort each other, how to make each other laugh, and how to solve problems together. Mitch works as a IRS clerk and Dyllan works as a finance executive admin. Mitch enjoys playing and watching sports, especially football and basketball. Dyllan enjoys baking, doing yard work, and decorating for the holidays. Together we enjoy playing card and board games, barbecuing, spending time with our friends and families, and taking our dogs for walks.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a two-story, four-bedroom home with a large, fenced-in backyard. Our house is located on a quiet street in a very friendly and diverse neighborhood. We are just blocks from several parks as well as the elementary, junior high, and high school. We are also just minutes from amusement parks, water parks, the zoo, and so many other attractions. We live right by the mountains and have a wonderful view of them from our living room window. We have two lovable, goofy dogs, Duke and Rocco. They love cuddling, playing fetch, and going for walks to the park.

Our Extended Family

Both of our families live close by, and we really enjoy spending time with them.

Dyllan comes from a small but close family. His parents live out in the country on a large piece of land with horses. We enjoy going out there and spending time with his family. We love going camping with Dyllan’s family in the mountains where we ride ATVs, hike, sit around the campfire making s'mores, and enjoy nature. Dyllan and his grandma are very close and spend quite a bit of time together. They have a tradition every year of canning salsa and spaghetti sauce, and during the holidays they make homemade pumpkin rolls and sugar cookies for family and friends while watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

Mitch has a very large family. He has six siblings and over 35 nieces and nephews. We love getting together with his family to hang out and play games. We also love to get together for BBQs, birthday parties, and holidays. Mitch’s family has a tradition every summer where we rent some cabins and spend a week together. We play games, take turns making dinner or breakfast for everyone, go for hikes, and stay up late enjoying each other’s company.

What Led Us To Adoption

When we first started talking about growing our family, the possibility of adoption was something we were always interested in. Knowing it was a big decision, we researched many options, but the entire time we just had this feeling we were meant to build our family through adoption. We talked to friends who had adopted multiple children over the years, and they told us adoption was the best decision they had made. This helped reassure us that we were meant to build our family through adoption.
