Family Type: Gay
State we live in: California

dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! We are very grateful for the consideration of becoming prospective parents for your child. We can never fully comprehend the complexity of the emotions you may be feeling right now, but rest assured, should you choose us, our commitment to each other will be extended to you during this process. We hope you feel supported and loved no matter where you are in your journey. We admire you very much for considering adoption.

If chosen to be the parents of your child, they will enter a home full of love, loyalty, and safety. Your child will grow up having parents who will love them unconditionally and will always be proud of them. Being an interracial couple, we will ensure that your culture is introduced to your child. We also look forward to taking our future child to our respective places of upbringing and exposing them to the different cultures and traditions we grew up with. Edward is from the Philippines and would teach your child how to speak two dialects of his native tongue, while Brandon, being from the South, will teach your child the true definition of Southern charm.

We look forward to being a part of your support system throughout this entire process. We are excited to meet and get to know you while getting a better understanding of your values, aspirations, and hopes.

If chosen to be the parents of your child, they will enter a home full of love, loyalty, and safety. Your child will grow up having parents who will love them unconditionally and will always be proud of them.

About Us

We are Edward and Brandon. We both work in the healthcare field. Edward works as a corporate clinical informatics specialist. He helps to maintain compliance within the electronic medical record system. Brandon works as a nurse anesthesiologist in the hospital setting. We are a very passionate and loving couple who always put our family first. We believe in a strong foundation of trust and loyalty and enjoy and look forward to our time together. We both remain active and will incorporate this lifestyle with our child. We have always pictured our child getting involved in various activities. We want to expose them to as many things as possible and let them decide for themselves what makes them happy. We like to travel and have been exposed to many different cultures and diversities. We look forward to including a child on our adventures.

Our Home & Pets

We have a two-year-old little dog named Bella, a chihuahua mix. She loves to play fetch. We purchased our beautiful, newly built home in August 2020. It is a four-bedroom, three-bath home we call our sanctuary. It is in a new family-friendly development. Our home itself is located on a cul-de-sac, which will provide a safer environment for our child when they play with other children outside. We are also within walking distance of an elementary school. We are in the process of building a pool and should be finished in time for summer 2021. Brandon was a former lifeguard and taught swimming lessons. We look forward to teaching our future child how to swim.

Our Extended Family

As a same-sex couple, our individual family dynamics are complicated, but we do have relationships with a select few. Brandon is close with his great-aunt, and Edward is close with one of his sisters and a cousin. The rest of the people we call family are our chosen family. They are all very excited for us to have the opportunity to become parents.

Growing up, Edward always helped with the cooking, which led to his love for it. This was a tradition in his family, where the children would always help in some way. In the Filipino culture, Christmas celebrations begin in September, and it is a huge deal. For Brandon, Christmas is also a big deal. His parents would start to decorate and hang lights in October. Every Christmas, they have a huge light show, and people drive from all over the state to see it. With both of our love for the Christmas holiday and the experiences we had growing up with our families, we want to continue these by having our child do the same.

What Led Us To Adoption

We both have always wanted to be fathers. We have so much love for one another and want to share that love with a child. Edward, being adopted himself, understands firsthand the beauty of adoption. If he were not adopted, he would not have been presented with the opportunities that led to our great life now. Our desire to adopt was even more solidified when, in 2018, we visited his home country after him being away for twenty four years. During our visit, we both realized how different his life could have been if he had not been adopted. We want to somehow play a part in a child’s life where we could present them with the opportunities we have been lucky enough to have experienced.
