Ellie & Molly

Family Type: Lesbian Couple
State we live in: West Virginia

dear expectant mother

Dear brave, selfless, and loving human,

We want to start out by saying thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read our profile, and thank you for considering such a huge decision in your life. If we are blessed to be chosen by you, our hearts and the hearts of those who love us would be forever grateful. The baby we get the privilege of loving will be continuously prioritized, loved, adored, supported, seen for who they are, and encouraged to express what they will become. We would be forever thankful.

We cannot wait to include our little one in every aspect of our lives. Between traveling with family members to family-friendly adventures and baking and cooking at Christmastime, we can't wait for the honor to include a little one. Ellie’s mother, who is called Jamma, can’t wait to plant a tree with them. This is something she does with every kid and grandkid. The trees all have names. Molly’s father, who is called PeePaw, can’t wait to take them on hikes and explore nature together. We promise to promote safety and love above all else. We promise to include fun, laughter, joy, and exploration. We have never wanted anything more, and this is our next step in our journey as a family.

If we are blessed to be chosen by you, our hearts and the hearts of those who love us would be forever grateful. The baby we get the privilege of loving will be continuously prioritized, loved, adored, supported, seen for who they are, and encouraged to express what they will become.

About Us

We met at work when Molly was working as a chef in the cafe located in Ellie’s office building. This, of course, meant we both took as many opportunities as possible to spark up conversations. Four and a half years later, the rest is history. We currently live in a new build in a much more urban part of West Virginia with our four kitties and a kitchen full of laughs, love, hope, and family. With both of us working from home, even with Molly leaving the cooking industry, Ellie still gets her special breakfast sandwiches topped with a heart daily. We recently celebrated our two-year wedding anniversary, and we both still feel in the honeymoon stage. Being together, building our love, and sharing it with those who matter most to us is such a great blessing.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a new house in a subdivision that is filled with children, families that all look different, and lots of space to run and play. We have had a great time making this new house feel lived in, colorful, and full of family pictures to be reminded of our love. We live less than five miles from Ellie’s family, and we often enjoy family dinners and games. Oh, and who can forget cooking and baking together! Prior to us being a couple, we each had two cats. Now they all live together, and Brooklyn, Elmo, Frank, and Beans are the best fur children we could ask for! They all love when we have company, especially our little nieces and nephews.

Our Extended Family

Our family members are beyond excited to welcome another little one into our family. Molly’s family only lives about an hour away, and we get together with them as frequently as we can! We can’t put into words how great it felt to hug them when we all got together recently to bake and cook dinner together. The youngest boys love to play outside with their Aunt Molly, who never passes up an opportunity to share in those experiences.

We love to play and read with the nieces, who are all under the age of six. We recently returned from a trip to Orlando, and our time was beyond perfect. We are so looking forward to sharing our traveling experiences with our family and new little one. This last trip in March, we spoke of our dreams and excitement of having a baby with us!

What Led Us To Adoption

With Ellie being a social worker and mental health therapist, she has seen a variety of ways a family can be started. We have always talked about wanting to start a family together! It was a topic we brought up as soon as we got serious (which did not take long…we were smitten!). We have often dreamed of what our future child would be like as we helped raise our nieces and nephews, and we felt it was the perfect time to turn that dream into reality.
