About Us

We met each other in a volleyball league and have been teammates on and off the courts ever since. Fast forward a few years, and we bought a house, got married, and have both excelled in our careers. Eric currently works as a business analyst, and Anthony is a social work supervisor for a nonprofit organization supporting our local community. As a couple, we balance each other out well. Eric is competitive, nurturing, and optimistic, while Anthony is empathetic, outgoing, and a jokester. We enjoy traveling, working out, and spending time with friends and family. We tend to take a few trips throughout the year, whether to attend volleyball tournaments or to experience new cities. We like to end our days playing video games, walking our dogs around our neighborhood, or watching our favorite TV shows together.

Our Home & Pets

A year and a half ago we bought our first house in a very friendly and family-oriented neighborhood. We moved from an apartment in the city to a two-story home with a large backyard. We are around 10 to 15 minutes from the heart of the city, but with most of our necessities nearby, we tend to stay close to home and support our local businesses. Our two dogs, Aspen and Nova, enjoy their walks around the neighborhood and have even become familiar faces to our neighbors and their children. We often think about when our future child can join us on our neighborhood walks!

Our Extended Family

Growing up, we were taught that family means everything, and we continue to uphold that by being very family oriented. We speak to our parents daily and have a very supportive and loving relationship with both our families.

Eric comes from a family that consists of his parents and his brother. This will be the first grandchild for Eric’s parents. Anthony comes from a family that consists of his parents, sister, brother, sister-in-law, nephew, and three nieces. This will be the fifth grandchild for Anthony’s parents.

One tradition we have started has been making homemade pizzas for our families whenever they visit us. Everyone plays a key part in the pizza-making process, and it is always fun creating different recipes and spending time together! Both of our families live in Texas, and we frequently meet up for birthday celebrations, holidays, or weekend getaways. When we are all gathered together, the house is always filled with lots of laughter and love! Our families are extremely excited to have our family grow and have been very supportive of us during our adoption journey.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have always talked about wanting to become parents. Since the beginning of our relationship, we knew we wanted to raise a family together. Although we have two fur babies, we know our family is not complete without our future child in the picture. Our friends have been through the adoption journey, and we have seen their lives change in such a beautiful way. Adoption is one of the fortunate ways to complete our family, and we are excited to have this opportunity available to us. We have a lot of love to share and can’t wait to do so with our future child.
