dear expectant mother

We are so grateful you’ve looked at our profile. We love and respect you as you consider an adoption plan for your child. We have so much room in our hearts for you and the baby we hope to love and care for forever. We can’t wait to see our boys hold a new baby. They ask every day for a new baby, and our hearts melt over how sweet and tender they are with our friends’ babies. Your baby will be raised with so much love, respect, and gentle care. Their unique personality will be cherished and nurtured.

We can’t wait to pick out their first Halloween costume, take them to the river with our dogs, bake brownie cakes, let them play with balloons and confetti on birthdays, ride the Polar Express train at Christmas, and encourage their unique interests and hobbies. Your baby will grow up in a home where there is always time for cuddles and kisses. We hold our babies so much they barely know their cribs. We believe in gentle parenting that respects the autonomy and uniqueness of each child. Dignity and love are the cornerstones of our home. We laugh a lot, dance often, and spend our days celebrating being a family. And we can’t wait to share these moments with you too, our precious birth mom. We want to be here for you too.

Bringing a baby into our family is something we’ve been desiring for a long time, and we are so ready to love them through their life’s journey. We promise to honor their unique story and treasure them deeply. Thank you so much for considering us, and we wish you all the happiness in the world.

About Us

Erin worked in the music industry before becoming a stay-at-home mom and is now training to be a part-time doula. Josh is a software developer. We bonded over our love of music, going to shows, collecting records, and DJing radio shows and dance parties for our friends. We love to travel, trying new foods and exploring other cultures. Our youngest son took his first international trip at eight months old! We spend a lot of time investing in our family, home, pets, and garden. We enjoy cooking together as a family and love inviting friends and family members over to eat. We also care deeply about promoting justice and equality within our community. We love being involved with our kiddos’ schools. Between our boys and our dogs, our home can be a bit loud at times, but we love it and find joy and humor in it every day.

Our Home & Pets

We have a modest home on half an acre in a diverse neighborhood in the city. There are lots of family-friendly activities nearby, like farmers markets, art classes at a children’s shop, and paths for walking and biking. We use every inch of our yard for a large vegetable garden, a fairy garden decorated by our boys, a swing set with a treehouse and slide, playing tag, and throwing water balloons, always with a dog at our side. We have three rescue dogs. Our kids love having doggie playmates, and the dogs love sneaking a bite of food off of the kids’ plates. We’re a home of lots of love and dog hair, and we can’t wait to share these moments with a new baby!

Our Extended Family

We are lucky to have Erin’s family nearby as a support system and to make memories with us. Our boys love being at Nanny, Poppy, and Uncle Brian’s house! We get to celebrate traditions that Erin grew up with, like big birthday celebrations, big meals, beach trips, and holiday feasts and activities. We often visit Erin’s aunts and uncle in Colorado for hiking family adventures as well.

Josh’s family lives farther away, but they try to visit often! Grandma and Grandpa FaceTime with the boys on weekends and visit every year. Josh’s brother visits every few months for long weekends that include zoo visits, birthdays, and outdoor activities. Josh’s sister and brother-in-law visit too and enjoy local music, teaching the boys soccer, and hiking with us. They’re even thinking of moving here!

We’re also lucky to have a close-knit group of friends. Our closest friends are over for dinner often and love playing with the boys and going on walks. Many of Erin’s college friends, with kids of their own, celebrate holidays and have weekend brunches with us. They’re so excited about us adopting and can’t wait to welcome a new baby!

What Led Us To Adoption

Even before trying to have kids, we loved the idea of adopting a baby to make our family complete and talked about it often. The idea of giving a baby a beautiful life, where they feel special and are given love, experiences, and opportunities, is something we both have felt conviction and passion about for years. After Erin endured three pregnancies with complications—plus two miscarriages—we felt even more strongly that adoption is meant to be a part of our family’s story. The idea of adoption has been growing in our hearts for a long, long time.
