About Us

We met through mutual friends and instantly knew it was meant to be. We bought our house, rescued a dog, and got married! We are best friends and partners who love to travel together, from national parks to big cities and across the world. We enjoy spending time in the backyard with our dog, cooking homemade meals, and attending activities in our community. Erin works as a prospect researcher at a community foundation. She helps give grants and money to nonprofit organizations working to reduce hunger, homelessness, and poverty. Recently Lee went back to college to obtain his accounting degree and works at home as a caption specialist, captioning phone calls and important conversations for the deaf and hearing impaired. He volunteers at his school completing taxes free of charge for community members and finds it rewarding educating others on tax benefits and teaching financial literacy to those in need.

Our Home & Pets

Home is our favorite place! Our ranch house features a patio and a big backyard full of flowers, trees, and lots of space to enjoy the sun. We are close to city parks and playgrounds, a local library, nature trails, and excellent schools. Our streets are lined with beautiful trees and full of the sounds of children playing and birds singing. We can feel the lake breeze and smell backyard barbecues in the air. Inside, our house is bright and cozy, full of plants and pictures, and featuring a nursery, playroom, and large family room for movies and playing games. Our dog, Dakota, loves to snuggle. Our yard provides a kiddie pool, sandbox, and slide for your child.

Our Extended Family

We are very close with our families and spend lots of time together. Grandparents, aunt and uncles, and great-grandparents are excited and ready to provide your baby with love, support, and hugs, and nieces and nephews are anxious to have a new cousin to play with. Our families love going for hikes, visiting museums and the zoo, camping, and grilling in the park. Christmas is our family’s favorite holiday, and we celebrate with food, baking cookies, decorating the tree, and sledding.

Our family cabin in northern Wisconsin is quiet, with lots of wildlife, rivers, and big pine trees. It provides us all with a great place to vacation and relax. At night we love to look at the countless stars by the campfire while making s'mores, telling stories, and laughing together as a family. In the summer, we spend lots of time at the lake, swimming, building sandcastles, going for boat rides, and enjoying picnics. We would love to welcome your baby into our family to share in our traditions and gatherings, where there will be no shortage of fun in the sun!

What Led Us To Adoption

When we met, we both knew we wanted a family of our own. We both have big hearts with lots of love, care, and kindness to share. Adoption was our initial choice, but at the time, it wasn’t financially feasible. Erin was unofficially adopted by her grandparents, who raised her with unconditional love and support. We care deeply about family being about love and not blood. We tried to have a biological child but without success. The roads of our lives led us to adoption, and we feel blessed with the opportunity to share the bountiful love, comfort, and support we received as children to create a family of our own. In our deepest of hearts, we know the baby that joins our family will be meant to be.
