Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State we live in: Texas

dear expectant mother

We are so grateful to you for considering us to raise your child. We thank you for taking the time to read about us with everything you have going on at this time in your life. We will not pretend we have any idea what you are going through, but please know we think you are brave and selfless. Even contemplating adoption shows how much love you hold in your heart for your child.

Should you choose us, your child will always know unconditional love and support. We plan to raise them to be who they are destined to become and to express themselves freely. They will always be listened to and heard. Our home is filled with love, warmth, and openness, and we value kindness and being honest. We love to travel and can’t wait to be able to show your child the world. We also love to cook, and Gemma is so excited to be able to share her love of baking.

We adopted our son nine years ago, so your child will always be able to walk hand in hand through life with Wilfred, who shares that bond and understanding. This gives us a unique understanding to offer, and we are excited about growing our family. Only you know what is the best for you and your child, but we would like to think we could be the family for you. We can’t wait to start this journey with you. Your heart will guide you.

About Us

We are Ben and Gemma. We met 12 years ago while backpacking in Mongolia, and Gemma moved from England to Texas to start a life with Ben. We married in the Grand Canyon nine months later and have been happily married 11 years now. We have an amazing son through adoption who is 10 years old. Our home is warm, casual, and loving. Gemma is a stay-at-home mom who makes home-cooked meals every day, takes care of our son, and plans fun family activities. Ben works as a general manager in the family construction company. Our favorite part of the day is coming together and eating around the table while sharing about our day. We also love traveling, being outdoors in nature, taking walks, growing vegetables, having a picnic, pushing our son on a swing, and having popcorn on the sofa while watching a movie.

Our Home & Pets

We live in the countryside with a ten-minute drive to town. Our home is on nearly three fenced acres. We have a vegetable garden and a lovely play area for children. Our land has lots of grass to run through and trees to sit under. Gemma's parents live next door, and our son loves to run over to see them. Our neighborhood is quiet, and we love to take walks after dinner with our sweet, loving old dog while our cat watches from the window and our neighbors ride their horses down the road. Our home has three bedrooms, and the kitchen is the heart of the house, where we love to cook, chat, and laugh.

Our Extended Family

We both have very supportive families that cannot wait to welcome a new child into the family. Gemma’s parents moved from England and live right next door, so we see them all the time. Ben’s mom and stepdad live an hour away from us in the countryside, and we visit them and video call them all the time too. Gemma is an only child, and Ben has one brother, who lives in New York with his wife and child.

We really are just one big blended family that all get along like we are just meant to be. Christmas and holidays are a time for both families to get together and bring different parts of our cultures together. Gemma has everyone at the party play the game “Pass the Parcel,” an English tradition, and Ben’s mom brings her German love of cooking into any event she can. We can’t wait for the day we are able to add another chair around the table during these fun get-togethers.

Our Adoption Story

Adoption holds a special place in our hearts, and we know firsthand the joy it can bring. We have been so blessed to adopt our son Wilfred, and our lives have forever been positively changed. Adoption has always been a first choice for us, and we cannot imagine a more special way to grow our family than through adoption. Our family has so much love to give and more memories to create.
