dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Parent(s),

We know the decisions you are facing are not easy ones. We have an incredible amount of respect for you and the courage it is taking for you to decide what is best for you and the life you are growing. Thank you for taking the time to consider our family as an option for you and your little one. We are grateful for the opportunity to share a little bit about us and our lives with you.

We can assure you that your baby will be loved beyond measure by not only us but our entire family as well. We are not alone in this journey we are on; our family is walking with and supporting us along the way. The decision we have made to grow our family through adoption was not one we took lightly. We have waited several years to start this journey, and in that time, we have taken steps to make sure we are financially sound, mentally prepared, and emotionally ready to take on the ups and downs of the adoption process and growing our family.

We hope you will be part of our journey, but please know we will always support and respect the decisions you make for you and your baby.

We have an incredible amount of respect for you and the courage it is taking for you to decide what is best for you and the life you are growing.

About Us

Hello! We are a couple of small-town Midwest kids who met in 2011 through online dating. When we met in person for our first date, we both knew we had found our person, and in 2013 we said, “I do.” Personality-wise we are opposites. Heather is a social butterfly while Beau is quieter and more reserved, but we work well together. Heather loves going to concerts or musicals, while Beau is more likely to be found putting together small LEGO sets or watching horror movies. Together we both enjoy game nights and campfires with our friends, movies, arcade dates, traveling to new places, or taking relaxing vacations to recharge. We've always enjoyed watching football and recently found we love going to hockey games and have become supporters of our local hockey team.

Our Home & Pets

We moved out of the city in 2021 to a small town that reminded us of where we grew up. We have a three-bedroom, ranch-style house with a large, fenced-in yard. The neighborhood we live in has a good mixture of older residents as well as young families. Our town has a large park with several different play areas, walking trails, a dog park, and an outdoor community pool. Our dog, Wally, loves trips to the dog park and walking trails. We also have two cats, Jory and Cotton, who love sunbathing on our back porch.

Our Extended Family

We are very thankful for families that have shaped us into the people we are today and continue to be examples of life well lived, unconditional love, and solid marriages.

We visit Beau’s family a couple of times a year. Beau got his passion for cathodic protection (corrosion control) from his dad and grandpa, who worked in the field for decades and were teachers of the trade. Beau’s favorite holiday is Halloween because of his love for horror movies that he got from his mom and hopes our children will one day share a love of them too.

Heather's family lives closer to us, and we try to get together regularly. Growing up, her favorite memories are from spending time in the kitchen with her mom and grandma, learning how to bake and cook from the heart.Heather's favorite season is fall because of the cooler weather that calls for hot cocoa, pumpkin patches, and apple orchards, but her favorite holiday is Christmas. She loves seeing all the Christmas lights and decorating the tree together. She can't wait to share her love of cooking and the magic of the holidays with our children.

What Led Us To Adoption

After years of not being able to start a family of our own in the traditional way, we knew our journey to parenthood would be a little different. While this will be the first adoption in either of our families, we have seen friends grow their families through fostering and adoption. We have seen how beautiful those families are and are excited at the opportunity to grow our own family through adoption.
