dear expectant mother

We’re not sure that the words “thank you” are enough to express our gratitude to you for reading our profile and considering us to possibly be your child’s parents. The amplitude of this moment is not lost on either one of us. We know it’s a big choice and an important decision.

What we really want to say is thank you: Thank you for potentially choosing us and giving us the greatest gift we could ever receive—the gift of getting to be parents. We are committed to making sure our future child knows your love for them and that your courage is what gave us the greatest gift and made us a family.

About Us

We met online 12 years ago, and Heather made the first move, inviting Tim over for dinner and a movie. We ended up talking for hours, and the rest is history! After four years of dating, we married in 2015. In the past 12 years, we have had so many amazing adventures together. We are excited for our next adventures, and we can’t wait to share them with our little ones! We both work in outdoor hospitality management. Tim is loving, kind, confident, smart, hardworking, and funny. He is a great craftsman and cook. He loves traveling, music, animals, fishing, BBQing, sports, and gardening. Heather is warm, loving, cheerful, kind, encouraging, passionate, and creative. She loves to explore, travel, craft, read, paint, plan celebrations, and spend time with family. She loves animals, art, swimming, dancing, cooking, baking, and dad jokes.

Our Home & Pets

Since 2018, we have lived in a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, ranch-style house in a quiet and safe neighborhood where all of our neighbors know each other by name. We are less than four miles from great schools, several playgrounds, and recreation and swimming areas. We have a big, fenced-in backyard for our dogs and our children to run and play. Dakota is our 10-month-old German shepherd mix. He is sweet, gentle, and toy obsessed and often can be found holding his favorite ball or waiting for a belly rub. Birdie is our one-year-old Australian shepherd/German shepherd mix who is playful and silly and loves attention.

Our Extended Family

Family is so important to us. We are lucky to both have large, silly families who are lots of fun. We grew up spending lots of time with extended family, especially during the holidays, and we look forward to sharing that experience with our children. Easter egg hunts, fireworks and BBQing, carving pumpkins, and trick-or-treating are just some of our traditions. Christmas is our favorite time of year with matching pajamas, sharing stockings and presents, and lots of decorations and Christmas lights. We watch movies and make Christmas treats and hot cocoa to take while driving around the city looking at the Christmas lights.

Heather’s mom and dad, her older sister, and her entire extended family all live less than 20 minutes away, so we celebrate holidays and birthdays with them. Watching everyone laugh, catch up, and cook together is one of our favorite sources of joy.

Tim’s family lives in Colorado and North Carolina, and we all visit each other often. Tim has a large extended family also, and we feel lucky to have so many supportive and loving people in our lives. It's also fun to get to travel between the Smoky and the Rocky Mountains to visit them!

What Led Us To Adoption

Family is so important to us. We have both always dreamed of becoming parents. We are looking forward to sharing a world full of silliness, encouragement, traditions, and love with our child. We look forward to raising our children to chase their dreams. Our home is full of MUSIC, LOVE, CREATIVITY, EXPRESSION, POSITIVITY, TRADITIONS, ACCEPTANCE, SUPPORTIVENESS, DOGS, and LOTS OF LAUGHTER. We enjoy a life together filled with love, commitment, and adventure. We are so excited to share it with our future child. We cannot wait to be parents!
