dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you so much for letting us introduce ourselves to you and your family. We really hope you enjoyed learning all about our families, the traditions we have, and the activities we enjoy.

Hopefully you can see your child enjoying all of that with us as they grow. We appreciate the difficulty of the choice you are making for you and your child, and we hope we can lift the burden of that decision by reassuring you we will give your baby the best possible life we can give. If given the opportunity to adopt your child, we will be adding to our family a person to receive all the love we can give, to spread all the joy to them that we can, and to cherish them for their entire life.

We are so overjoyed by the possibility of having a child in our life and adding to our family. We are so very grateful for the gift you could bestow upon us. We hope you have enjoyed reading about our lives and gaining some insight into the life and all the love we could share with your child.

We are so overjoyed by the possibility of having a child in our life and adding to our family.

-Jacob & Paul

About Us

We have been married since 2019 and have been together for over five years. We met at a friend’s Halloween party in 2016, where Paul was dressed as an anime character and Jacob was a banana. It was love at first sight. Paul is a teacher and a landscaper, while Jacob is a scientist. While we have very different careers, we share many of the same hobbies. Paul loves bonsai, and Jacob will usually find him outside tending to his trees when he gets home. We both love to garden and have built lovely, easy-to-care-for gardens for everyone to see and enjoy. At night we like to watch the latest TV shows or play video games together. On weekends, we like to invite our friends over to play board and card games.

Our Home & Pets

Our home is in a Minnesota suburb. Our neighborhood is full of parks and lakes we like to walk around while also a short drive away from the city. Our suburb is full of fun attractions like a free conservatory and zoo as well as malls, movie theaters, and great schools. Our pride and joy at our house is the flower and vegetable gardens we have filled our yard with. We have two cats, Sasuke and Itachi, named after Paul’s favorite anime, Naruto. Sasuke’s favorite hobby is napping on our laps, while Itachi enjoys playing with his toys and running around our backyard.

Our Extended Family

Jacob comes from a very large Catholic family. He has 12 aunts and uncles and too many cousins to count. Our family is very close, and we all get together several times a year on holidays and for special occasions. Almost all of his family live nearby and include adults and children of all ages. They are excited for us to adopt a child and can’t wait to meet him or her. Jacob’s parents live about 20 minutes from our house. His sister lives in Florida, and we try to visit her as often as we can, especially in the winter.

Paul also comes from a very large family and is the youngest of nine siblings. He is closest to his youngest sister and her family, who live ten minutes away. She is married with two children, and we get together often. We help each other out, whether that is watching pets or visiting with the children. Paul’s mom is very supportive and excited for her new grandbaby. She plans on helping out with the grandbaby in any way she can.

What Led Us To Adoption

We are ready to be dads. We have talked about adopting a child since we were early in our relationship. Now that we are in a good place with a nice house, we are ready to have our family grow. We are super excited to meet our child and to watch them grow into a happy, successful adult. Adoption is the best way to have this dream come true. Our friends either have children or are planning on adopting soon.
