dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We want to thank you for considering adoption for your child. We can’t imagine the burden of the decision, but please know we would be beyond honored for you to choose us as dads for your baby.

We have one son, who is two years old, and we cannot imagine life without him. Both of us grew up with siblings, and after careful consideration, we have decided we don’t want our son to grow up as an only child. More importantly, we still have so much love to give. We have realized it is possible for a parent’s heart to just grow bigger. There is so much room for another child in our lives and home.

Our family and friends are excited to welcome another little one into the family. Thank you for considering us to be your child’s adoptive parents.

About Us

We have been together for seventeen years and married for eight. We have an awesome and caring two-year-old son, two giant Saint Bernards, and a cuddly cat. Most of Jake’s free time is spent with the family. He likes gardening and cooking. Someday, when our kids are old enough, he wants to start building robots and work on technology projects with them. Craig is an amazing baker who bakes all the family treats, like birthday cakes, Christmas cookies, and even bread. This is a passion he wants to pass down. We own a software company where Jake is the CEO and Craig is the VP of Operations. We have a great work-life balance. Every evening is family time, whether going for walks, just being silly in the living room while watching cartoons, or going to the park. We have dinner at the dining room table every night, a tradition we will continue until our kiddos are all grown up.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a quiet and close-knit neighborhood near downtown. Our house was built in 1893 by the master mechanic of the Big Four railroad company. We have a large yard with a playset and plenty of room to play outside. Our house has four bedrooms and plenty of space to host family holidays and events. We have two Saint Bernards. They’re gentle giants and are fantastic with kids.

Our Extended Family

We have a big family. Jake has two sisters, and Craig has six brothers and sisters. We have one niece and one nephew on Craig’s side of the family and five nephews and three nieces on Jake’s. They span from two to twenty-two years old.

We also have an incredible group of friends who are our chosen family. We also celebrate holidays with them, like Friendsgiving, Boxing Day, and New Year.

We host special family occasions like Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners at our house. We love celebrating all of the nieces and nephews’ birthdays. We travel a lot and often take Craig’s mom with us. In the past two years alone, we’ve vacationed in Chicago, the Bahamas, Alaska, and Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Our Adoption Story

We both grew up with siblings, and having a close relationship with them and the special bond that brothers and sisters have, we realized we wanted to have more than one child. We contemplated for several months whether we should move forward with adopting our second child, and we realized we have so much love to give, and we already have an amazing home and family to welcome another baby into.
