Family Type: Gay
State we live in: Pennsylvania

dear expectant mother

We recognize this decision is possibly the most difficult one you’ll ever need to make, and while we can’t fully understand how that feels, we respect the thought and care that goes into your choice. Having you consider us to raise your baby gives us goosebumps! We would be incredibly honored to raise your baby in a loving, caring, healthy, compassionate, and structured household.

As we both had enjoyable childhoods, we hope to recreate a similar experience with your baby. Sports has been a special bond for us, and we look forward to visiting the ballpark and stadiums together to root for our local teams! We picture ourselves taking trips to the beach, being involved in activities and sports, and helping your child with his or her school work, all while teaching them about the “golden rule” and growing up to be a kind person.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering us as trustworthy and loving parents for your baby. Your incredible strength, courage, and selflessness are all qualities we hope to instill in your child. It would be our honor to help raise our baby with the same qualities as his or her mother.

Having you consider us to raise your baby gives us goosebumps! We would be incredibly honored to raise your baby in a loving, caring, healthy, compassionate, and structured household.

About Us

We both grew up in Pennsylvania. We went to the same university and share a love and passion for sports and travel. In school, Scott studied microbiology, while Paul studied business. We both went on to earn our master’s degrees; Scott is a microbiologist, and Paul is a college admissions director and a HS cheerleading coach. Scott is by far more reserved and measured, while Paul thinks he is the life of the party. We balance each other out perfectly! In 2006 we ran into each other at a local bar on a Saturday night. We chatted for a bit and set up a date a few weeks later. Paul held onto the receipt from our first date and carries it in his wallet to this day. While the receipt is completely faded, the memory of our first date remains. Fast forward 13 years, and we have developed an amazing relationship filled with love, laughter, and excitement.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to a large city in Pennsylvania. Our street is quaint, and our neighbors are our friends. We have the kind of neighbors who will mow your lawn and water your plants while you’re on vacation, and we all return the favor. We enjoy watching our neighbors’ children grow up and play baseball in the shared backyard, and they get so excited as the Mr. Softee Ice Cream truck comes down the street every evening during the summer. We look forward to sharing in that someday.

Our Extended Family

Family is very important to us, and we are incredibly grateful our families are just a short drive away. We are fortunate to have loving parents who have been very supportive and nurturing, and they look forward to being Nana, Pop, and Mom-Mom again someday!

Scott has one older brother, one niece, and one nephew. Paul has one older sister, two nieces, and one nephew. Scott and his nephew bond over talk of baseball, sports, and his college course load. Paul’s nieces are involved in cheerleading, and as a cheerleading coach himself, he has a special bond with them and loves watching them compete. We were thrilled to have our nieces and nephews be a part of our wedding party.

By far our favorite family tradition is Christmas Eve dinner at our house. We LOVE to decorate the house for the holidays and treat our nieces and nephews to some presents. The excitement and energy at our house on Christmas Eve is palpable, and having an opportunity to experience this with our own child would be priceless.

Paul comes from a family with a history of adoption, and we both have friends who were adopted. We love that adoption provides families a gift of life and an opportunity for families to grow. Our decision to pursue adoption came more recently as we watched our siblings and their families grow. Getting married last year motivated us, and we know now is the right time for us to start our family.
