dear expectant mother

Hi there,

Thanks so much for taking a moment to check out our profile. We can only imagine how much strength it takes to be here, and we want you to know how much we admire you for the love and care you’re showing your child. We’re excited about the chance to grow our family through adoption. In 2024, we were blessed to adopt our daughter through Lifelong, and being her parents has been the greatest joy of our lives. Now, we can’t wait to give her a sibling to share adventures, holidays, and family traditions with. Family means everything to us. We both come from big, loving families, and time together is always full of laughter, food, and memories. We love simple joys like making pancakes on the weekend, going on hikes to look for frogs and turtles, and reading books together at night. We also love traveling and learning about new places and cultures—and we hope to share that curiosity and openness with our kids. If you choose us, your child will always know how loved they are by both you and us. We’ll honor their story, celebrate where they come from, and respect the kind of relationship you’d like to have. We’re playful, curious, and so ready to give our love to another child. Thank you again for considering us—you mean so much to this story.

Our Love Story

We met about 17 years ago at a mutual friend’s college graduation party. Jim brought Tim a cup of black coffee, (his favorite) and the rest is history! We had chemistry from the beginning, and dated for many years, which included a six-month break while we traveled to other countries to work and study. We later got back together and finished our undergraduate studies. In 2013, we moved out of state, and both enrolled in graduate school. In 2014, Jim proposed to Tim in Israel. After 10 years together, we tied the knot in West Yellowstone, Montana, in September 2016. Then, we moved back home to start our doctorate programs. We graduated in August 2025 and are starting new jobs working in the same academic department! We adopted our beautiful daughter along the way. Watching each other become dads has been a lot of fun, and added a beautiful dimension to our love.

Our Home & Neighborhood

Overall, we value cozy homes and good neighbors. Our brick home is near a university. We live in a campus neighborhood, which we love. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet, full of trees, and has a running trail and a park. Our neighbors are friendly and consist of young professionals and retirees. There are also many young neighborhood children. We have a mini-schnauzer and a pollinator habitat. He loves to play in our large backyard, where we have trees, a few lilac bushes, a row of peonies, and a nice-sized vegetable garden. During neighborhood events like the 4th of July parade or the potluck, we sometimes feel like we are living in the Gilmore Girls! It’s a fabulous neighborhood.

Our Family & Friends

We love sharing our lives with friends and family. And, specifically, humor is almost always an important part of our relationships. We love witty jokes, laughing at ourselves, and being goofy with our daughter. It isn’t a family/friend gathering without a lot of laughter! One thing we’re really excited to do with us and our extended family is our annual trip to a local state park where all the families rent out a real caboose to stay in for the weekend. Also, because we lived in Montana near Yellowstone some years back, we usually go to Yellowstone National Park at least once a year; we can’t wait to explore the park with our children. We get together with family members every two weeks or so. Our family and friends are excited to play board games, bake bread, and take walks with the newest member of the family. If we were to raise your child, he or she would have a big sister, whom we adopted through Lifelong in 2024, and lots of cousins to run around with.

Adoption in Our Lives

The magic of adoption became real for us when we brought home our daughter through an open adoption in 2024. We still keep in touch with our daughter’s birthmom and her family. We have family members who were adopted or who have adopted. Tim’s mother was adopted at birth. We see the beautiful experiences that come from the adoption experience, and it makes us want to expand our family! We want to provide a solid home, a sense of belonging, and acceptance for who they are and will become. We understand your deep love for your baby, so we want to honor that by providing a similar caring environment, with an honest approach to adoption and the lifelong journey.
