About Us

Hello! We are an energetic couple that both grew up in North Carolina. We met at a wellness center, and our first date was on the tennis court. Our days are filled with outdoor activities, and our favorite place for downtime is our back porch. Jason served in the Armed Forces in Germany. After returning home, he is now a tennis professional. Channon served as an elementary school teacher and now is an online college professor, where she mentors aspiring educators. We support each other through life's ups and downs. Jason enjoys working in the yard, playing sports, cooking, and walking on the beach. Channon enjoys reading, listening to music, dancing, yoga, and being in nature. Our personal growth is important to us. Learning, growing, and praying together keeps our family strong and able to grow even bigger.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a warm and welcoming neighborhood. Our home is a place where laughter is heard often and being together is sacred to us. It is a three-bedroom home with an open floor plan and a big backyard. When we take our walks, we usually run into friendly faces who want to stop and talk a bit. There are several families with children who play outside often. We find a profound sense of peace here. We live in a community with many things to do nearby, such as parks, beaches, museums, and historical attractions. We have one little special family member named Teeny, a mix of Jack Russell and Chihuahua. She's a gentle soul and loves to be held and taken on walks.

Our Extended Family

Jason is blessed with a close-knit family, including an older brother and a younger sister, both of whom are married with children. They do not live far away, which allows us to cherish regular visits, making our weekends filled with joy and family fun.

Channon is equally fortunate to have a sister and a host of cousins and maintains a close and affectionate relationship with each. They do not live far away either making the family gatherings frequent. It is always a good weekend when we can visit both of our extended families.

Together, our extended family enjoys a variety of activities that create cherished memories, whether it's a casual backyard barbecue, a ride on the golf cart, camping, a festive holiday celebration, meeting at church, or a simple meal where stories and laughter are shared. These moments are precious to us. Also, in our family, communication is a vibrant thread that keeps us connected. We engage in regular group texts, making it wonderfully simple to stay in touch, share daily moments, plan spontaneous meet-ups, or offer support. This continuous thread of conversation keeps the rhythm of our family life joyful!

What Led Us To Adoption

We had a shared dream to build a family together. We encountered challenges to expanding our family through biological means, and our unwavering spirit and determination led us to this beautiful opportunity of adoption that we feel God has chosen for us. Channon has an uncle who was adopted and has seen the positive impact. What fills us with excitement is the opportunity to welcome a family member, fostering a special relationship that is unique to us. Jason has a 19-year-old son, but Channon does not have any children. Additionally, we are happy to have a chance to share the guiding principles of our Christian faith, instilling in them values as they grow within our faith-filled home.
