dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for reading our profile. We are sincerely grateful that you’re considering us as adoptive parents. Your bravery and selflessness are what make us equally as brave and selfless to provide for a newborn life. We are eager but also thoughtful about this adoption process. We have prayed, researched, and contemplated as a family unit what we hope to achieve with you and your baby. We understand this is a difficult decision for any mother, and you are so strong in this process!

We are excited to provide a home with unconditional love and care for your child. Jason cannot wait to teach them to appreciate global arts, food, and languages, and Kamm looks forward to teaching them empathy and how to understand ourselves and our emotions. We will expose your child to opportunities that grant them access to knowledge and experience about the diversifying world. We will keep a judgment-free household that aims to foster gentleness, kindness, respect, self-love, and compassion.

Together, we promise love, stability, education, culture, and sensibility all throughout the life of your child. We will respect your choice of the role you desire to play in the growth of the child. Your gift is what makes this adoption a life-changing experience longed for by us. We are forever committed to this experience.

Your bravery and selflessness are what make us equally as brave and selfless to provide for a newborn life.

About Us

We are a fun, outgoing couple that loves food and friends. We enjoy new experiences and ethnic flavors and the occasional vacation out of state. Jason is a university professor, and Kamm works as a research assistant to a grant-funded project at the University of Nebraska (remotely). We both love learning and growing, and we both enjoy tinkering with new and emerging technologies like virtual reality and artificial intelligence. After meeting at a church in Minnesota, Kamm pursued Jason when we went to college, and we got married in 2016. We both graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2019 with our respective degrees and moved to Texas, where we bought a home. There, we started rescuing animals (and found out we really enjoy fostering and helping shelter animals) and building a circle of friends and network of colleagues.

Our Home & Pets

Our home is in a cul-de-sac in a neighborhood with lots of families with children, several schools within two miles, and a park that is a five-minute walk away. Our city is best known for raising families. We have several groceries nearby and kid-friendly entertainment like a movie theater and a children’s science museum just five minutes away. At home, we have two medium-sized dogs and one cat. All of them are rescues. Our dogs, Malia and Athena, love children. Our cat, Cornelius, likes getting to know people and earning cuddles. Together, they have endless love to share, and we know they will be perfect protectors of a new child.

Our Extended Family

Both of us have semi-large extended families, all of whom are excited for new additions to our ever-growing family! Kamm’s immediate family consists of their mother and three elder sisters. Jason is the eldest of his family, having four younger brothers and one younger adopted sister. Most of Jason’s family lives in Malaysia, and his parents visit us yearly. Kamm’s family lives across Minnesota, North Dakota, Maine, and Washington.

At least once a year, we enjoy getting together with Kamm’s family to play games and laugh with our nieces and nephews. We especially love running around on the farm when we visit the Midwest and sunbathing when we visit the beaches in Maine. We also enjoy doing candy creations during the holidays, where we use various sugary treats to make things like graham cracker houses, marshmallow vehicles, and gummy characters.

Our aunts and uncles pamper us with love, and we enjoy visiting them whenever we have time. In Texas, we also get to see our cousins occasionally and catch up with one another about work and our lives.

What Led Us To Adoption

Dreaming about the future is what fuels our day-to-day routine. Whenever we talk about the future, we always see ourselves as parents who are eager to raise children. We both have known since a young age that we wanted a family with children. Jason has an adopted sibling, so we know the enormous impact of adoption. Between the two of us, we have worked in nurseries, daycares, Sunday schools, and youth development projects. We just can’t imagine a future without laughter and giggles with children and later teenagers who’ll grow up to be thoughtful leaders in society. We are ready to nurture and care. With our passion and experience, we believe we can make a positive impact on our children and help raise them into amazing people.
