Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State We live in: Wisconsin

dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile and consider us as a potential family. We don’t know what has led you to consider this difficult decision of adoption. However, we want you to know we are so grateful as your sacrifice may be giving us an opportunity to make our dreams come true and become parents.

Our hope is that after reading a little bit about us, you can see how much love we have for each other and also how much love we will have for your baby. We are caring, understanding, and family oriented. In the decade we have been together as a couple, we have had a lot of adventures together. These have included traveling to a lot of places, buying a fixer upper, and raising a puppy. However, we are so ready to begin our next adventure of parenthood.

Thank you for taking the time to consider us as adoptive parents. We already have so much love to share and are ready to share it with your baby.

We already have so much love to share and are ready to share it with your baby.

About Us

Family means everything to us, and we are so excited about starting one. We met 12 years ago while working at a restaurant together. We quickly became friends and began dating a few years later. We got engaged in 2020 and married in June 2021. Shane left the restaurant industry seven years ago and is now working as a project manager/lead foreman for a property management company. He renovates old houses and turns them into dream rental homes. Jenell still occasionally guest-bartends at our old restaurant, but otherwise, she works for the state as a licensed psychologist. We live on a lake and spend our time enjoying lake life. Summers find us hosting family BBQs and out on our pontoon. In the winter, we enjoy the local events, such as ice racing and a lake golf tournament that’s set up with old Christmas trees.

Our Home & Pets

We live on a lake in a small but connected community. Our current baby is a three-year-old mini bernedoodle, Bernie. Our closest neighbor calls him her granddog, and it’s not unusual to see him knocking on her door for treats and attention. We live in the country with lots of hiking trails and opportunities to enjoy nature but within 30 minutes of a major city in one direction and a main tourist attraction in the other direction.

Our Extended Family

Our family holidays and gatherings blend both of our families. We each have one older sister. Our sisters live down the street from each other about 30 minutes from us and have kids the same age; they all go to school together. Shane’s family loves our lake life so much that his sister and brother-in-law as well as his father all bought lake houses on our lake and spend a lot of time right down the street from us. Jenell grew up in New York, but when her sister moved to Wisconsin, she was quick to follow. As soon as her parents retired, they moved out here too.

We try to see our extended family as much as possible, and this usually means traveling to fun destinations such as CO, NY, or PA. We all enjoy sports and go as a large family to many Brewers, Badgers, and Packers games.

What Led Us To Adoption

We knew we wanted to be parents early on in our relationship. After being unsuccessful at naturally trying to conceive, we turned to fertility treatments. This led to multiple surgeries, attempts, and heartaches. Although this was a difficult time to go through, it made us realize how much we wanted a family and what lengths we were willing to go to become parents. We’re strong believers that everything happens for a reason, and we truly feel everything we went through led us to adoption. We are so excited for this journey.
