dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and get to know us. We can only imagine the many emotions you may be experiencing, and we want you to know how much we admire the strength and love it takes to consider adoption. As you make this decision, please know you are deeply respected by us.

Becoming parents has always been our dream. While our path has not led to having a biological child, it has led us here—to adoption—and we couldn’t feel more hopeful. Together, we’ve built a life filled with love, laughter, and stability, and we’re excited to share that with a child. We look forward to building family traditions, enjoying quiet moments, going on adventures, and cherishing all the little things that make up everyday joy.

This journey fills us with both gratitude and anticipation. We are ready to open our hearts and home to a child—to encourage their dreams, celebrate their unique story, and surround them with warmth and support. We are humbled by the opportunity to be considered, and we hold you and your baby in our thoughts with deep respect and care.

With love,
Jenny & Josh

Our Lifestyle

One of the things we love most about our life together is exploring—both big adventures and small. New York City is our go-to spot for museums, incredible food, and endless energy, while summers at the Jersey Shore bring ocean waves, boardwalk rides, and family traditions. We’ve also made wonderful memories in Jamaica, Key West, Martha’s Vineyard, and during five years living in Boston, where we soaked up history and culture. Some of our favorite moments are simpler—kayaking on the lake, camping under the stars, or laughing through a manicure/pedicure date. No matter where we are, we’re happiest together, and we can’t wait to share that joy, curiosity, and sense of adventure with a child—seeing the world again through their eyes and making lifelong memories as a family.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We live in a spacious two-bedroom apartment in a peaceful lake town, surrounded by parks, trails, and a close-knit community that feels safe and welcoming. Our neighborhood is full of life, with festivals, fairs, and family-friendly events that bring people together. The local school district is one of the best in the state, known for both excellent academics and strong athletic programs. At home, our two dogs, Napoli and Brooklyn, bring endless joy with their big personalities and loving energy. We imagine a child growing up here surrounded by love, laughter, and opportunity—exploring the lakes, joining in community traditions, and learning the value of family, friendship, and belonging.

Our Family & Friends

We feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by a wonderful circle of family and friends who bring endless love, laughter, and support into our lives. Family is truly at the center of who we are. Our cousins Mark and Fred in Chicago feel more like siblings, and we visit them often. Our immediate family in New Jersey is a constant source of joy—whether we’re gathering for birthdays, holidays, or simple weekend visits, those moments always fill our hearts. Our roots also stretch to Massachusetts, Italy, Poland, and Ireland, and we can’t wait to share that richness of heritage and connection with a child. Alongside family, we are blessed with a chosen family of close friends spread across the country. Together we’ve built traditions like movie nights, hikes, summer adventures, and holiday gatherings filled with warmth and fun. This incredible community is eager to welcome a child, offering them a life surrounded by care, laughter, and belonging.

What We Love About Each Other

Our story began at an Out of the Darkness Walk for Suicide Prevention—a cause close to our hearts after losing loved ones dear to each of us. What started as a chance meeting quickly became something unforgettable, and every year since, we’ve honored that beginning by walking together in matching t-shirts we design ourselves. It’s a tradition that reminds us not only where we started but also what truly matters.

Not long after we met, Josh planned a first date that set the bar high—an escape room (where Jenny saved the day), followed by a cozy Italian dinner and a rooftop nightcap overlooking Philadelphia. Eight years later, after marrying in 2019, we’re still laughing daily and feel as inseparable as ever. Now, we’re ready for parenthood and so excited to share our traditions, adventures, and simple everyday moments with a child—making our story even richer.
