Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State We live in: Illinois

dear expectant mother

We understand this is a huge decision for you, and we recognize that it is one of the hardest choices you will ever have to make. We are awestruck by the courage and empathy it takes to put one’s child above oneself. We hope we can live up to those values and honor them. If you choose adoption, we also recognize how important it is that you find a family you can trust—one that will be as open and transparent with you as possible during the journey of raising your child.

Over the past five years, we’ve built a welcoming and loving home filled with laughter, mutual respect, and honesty. We strive to embody these values every day, making them the foundation of our family’s life. We will provide your child with a nurturing home where they will be surrounded by love, support, and a strong sense of belonging. We will teach them the importance of empathy, kindness, and acceptance.

While we will respect any boundaries you ask for, we want you to know we are fully open to open adoption. As such, our phones will always be on, and our door will always be open to you.

Family means everything to us. If you choose adoption and select us, we will be forever grateful to you for giving us the gift, responsibility, and privilege of being parents.

While we will respect any boundaries you ask for, we want you to know we are fully open to open adoption. As such, our phones will always be on, and our door will always be open to you.

About Us

Hi! We’re Jon and Jenny, and we’re very excited to grow our family through adoption. We met over five years ago on a dating app, and from our first date, we knew this was something special. Jon is kind, caring, and always thoughtful, while Jenny is empathetic, loyal, and always looking for ways to make things easier for those she loves. We share a love for movies and often find ourselves either at the theater or curled up on the couch after a long workday with our two adorable beagles. We also share a love of sports, specifically Chicago’s teams, which brought us together. This passion also led us to invest in Chicago Cubs season tickets and set a goal to visit every MLB park. Professionally, Jon is a senior editor for an association, and Jenny is a director of marketing at a development and construction consulting company.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a cute, welcoming small town in the suburban Chicagoland area with lots of young, growing families. Its location and the people who live here have created a vibrant culture. Our school district has smaller enrollments, allowing students more direct teacher-to-student interaction and opportunities for enrichment. We have two beagles, Richard and Murray, who have giant personalities. Richard predates Jon and is getting up there in age. But don’t let that fool you. When he wants to, he can turn on the jets and make a beeline for a treat or belly rub. We got Murray as a rescue when he was just six months old. He has the sweetest heart, and his capacity for unconditional love and affection will warm your soul.

Our Extended Family

We are family oriented as we come from big families. Being so close knit, we spend a lot of time with them, including a weekly family dinner with cousins and their growing families, a tradition started by Jon’s late grandmother when he was a baby.

Jon comes from a large Italian family. He has one brother, who has two children—a boy and a girl—with his wife. Although Jon's parents live in Arizona, they visit often, making sure to stay connected and involved in our lives. Jon also has a special relationship with his cousins, having officiated two of their weddings. Every year, all 17 of us look forward to our family trip to Michigan.

Jenny has one sister who has four children, ranging from two to eight years old. Recently, her sister’s husband finished his career in the Army, and they are moving from Colorado to Texas. We see them several times a year as Jenny and her sister are best friends. Jenny is also very close to her aunts, uncles, and cousins, and we often gather for holidays and special occasions. Additionally, we have a tight-knit group of friends who have become like family to us.

What Led Us To Adoption

On our first date, we talked for hours about what we wanted out of life and why family was the most important thing to us. Jenny was open about preparing to freeze her eggs as her endometriosis diagnosis made IVF her best chance to get pregnant one day. Early on, we knew our connection was strong and that we had found our person, so Jon went all in, going to all of Jenny’s fertility appointments. After five years of IVF, we wondered if we were meant to do something else. After learning more about adoption, we knew this was the path we were supposed to travel. We cannot imagine a more purposeful life than to love and raise a child while creating a special, unique family.
