Dear Expectant Mother,

The most impactful part of the adoption process for us has been putting our thoughts, feelings, and emotions aside so we can truly understand what you as an expectant mother must be feeling. We want to thank you for the opportunity to take challenging and emotional moments in our lives and transform them into something new and beautiful. Thank you for making the brave decision to carry, nourish, and bring a beautiful life into this world. It's difficult for us to describe how important you would be to us if you chose us as adoptive parents, but we can promise that your child will always know how important you are to their life story.

We are so excited to welcome a child into our home and start a family. Our goal for our children is for them to learn kindness, compassion, determination, and self-worth. There are so many people in our lives who are so excited to meet your baby. Our nieces and nephews have already started asking if they can babysit, buy them outfits, and teach them fun things! Your baby will be welcomed into a big family that is so eager to meet them and love them. Words cannot fully express how much we appreciate you for considering giving us the gift of parenthood.

About Us

We met in August 2012 at work as residential counselors at a group home. When we realized we shared a lot of the same interests, we became great friends, started dating, and got married in 2020. Kyle enjoys learning, tinkering, taking things apart, and fixing them in his workshop. He also enjoys photography and capturing moments in time. Jessica enjoys creating memories, spending time with family and friends, planning events, and celebrating accomplishments. Together, we love traveling and sharing all kinds of exciting new experiences. We often take trips up north for long weekends in the mountains. Our vacation to Hawaii is one of the highlights of our travels. Our favorite place to go is the most magical place on Earth, Disney World! We can’t wait to bring our family there some day to experience the magic with us! Our dream trip for the future is to visit Madeira Island, where both of our families originated.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a beautiful Cape Cod-style home on 2½ acres of land, with a large, fenced backyard. We love to host our neighbors, family, and friends for events like outdoor movie nights, campfires around the firepit, and game nights. We live in a small town with a rural feel but are close to many stores and shops. Our town has an abundance of public land, a well-known college campus, and a great school district. We have a mini bernedoodle, Maui. She makes every day better! We love taking her on hikes through the woods or to the college campus nearby to play and having her puppy friends over for playdates. Coming home to her happy tail and loving kisses makes our days so much better. She loves other dogs, people, and especially children!

Our Extended Family

We both come from large, close-knit families who are very involved in our lives. There’s always someone ready and willing to lend a hand with one project or another, and we value getting together on a regular basis. Between the two of us, we have six siblings, nine nieces and nephews, and 32 cousins!

Holidays are always huge events. The houses are packed with people and are full of love and laughter. The enjoyment we get comes from the excitement on all of the children’s faces. Christmas is always a two-day event that starts with Mass on Christmas Eve with both families and doesn’t end until Christmas Day is over. We often vacation and travel together and, as a family, have been to Punta Cana, Niagara Falls, Hawaii, New Hampshire, and more! We've been on cruise ships, ziplined in the mountains, zipped over Niagara Falls, ridden in hot air balloons, gone goat hiking, and learned cheese making. We can't wait to see what's next and make more memories with children of our own!

What Led Us To Adoption

Being parents is one of the most important things to us. We have a deep desire to nurture, teach, share new experiences, and watch a child grow into a unique and independent person. Immediately after we got married, we planned to start our family and were soon excited to discover we were pregnant. Sadly, we experienced a devastating loss of the pregnancy at nine weeks and since then have experienced three more losses that have been just as difficult. During the healing process, we spoke with some friends who had recently adopted. This led us down the path of opening our own hearts to adoption. We educated ourselves on the experiences of both the expectant mother and the adopted child. Our dream is to have multiple children and to provide a loving and safe home for them.
