dear expectant mother

Hello! We appreciate you taking a moment to explore our profile. We admire your courage and tenacity and realize it may be difficult to consider an adoption plan. While we don’t know you yet, we are eager to understand your personal journey and consideration of an adoption plan. It will be our heartfelt priority to parent your child with an awareness of you and his or her background, if you choose us.

We’re ready to listen to your needs for your baby. We decided to adopt because we embrace family connections and legacy. We are blessed to have large, loving families with whom we enjoy spending time. We love our families dearly, but we’re ready to start our own family full of holiday traditions and adventures. We value other cultures and have traveled to many countries; we want to provide this exposure to a young one. We believe in transparency and all parties staying informed. However, we will respect your intentions and accommodate the relationship you desire.

We are stoked to make weekend pancakes, go on exploring hikes to find frogs and turtles, and read our favorite books with our child. We are naturally curious about the world, playful, and engaging. We value both intellectual curiosity and the respect of human differences.

About Us

Tim is a full-time history Ph.D. student and instructor. He loves exploring the world, learning languages, and meeting interesting people. He wants to teach at a university and inspire students to be curious about the world. As a global exchange coordinator, Jim travels internationally once a year. Each year he takes university students to other countries for about two weeks. He has lived in Canada, Australia, and France. Jim is a part-time Ph.D. student in geography. He also served in the U.S. Coast Guard for five years and is now a U.S. Navy reserve officer. We are curious about the world. That’s why we hosted a German high school exchange student; it was a wonderful experience! We love learning, engaging discussions, personal challenges, and just being goofy. Above all, we value quality time, family dinners, working in our garden and yard, and feeling connected to our neighborhood.

Our Home & Pets

Overall, we value cozy homes and good neighbors. Our brick home is near a university. We live in a campus neighborhood, which we love. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet, full of trees, and has a running trail and a park. Our neighbors are friendly and consist of young professionals and retirees. There are also many young neighborhood children. They are happy to lend us a hand when we need it. We have a cat and a mini schnauzer; they are quite a pair. They love to play in our large backyard, where we have trees, a few lilac bushes, a row of peonies, and a nice-sized vegetable garden. Our dog loves playing with the neighborhood dogs as well.

Our Extended Family

Our family and friends are our closest community. They are usually the first to know about our important life events and there to laugh with us about everything along the way. One trait we share with most is humor. It isn’t a family/friend gathering without a lot of laughter! One thing we’re really excited to share with a child on Jim’s side of the family is the annual trip to a local state park where all the families rent out a real caboose to stay in for the weekend. Also, because we lived in Montana near Yellowstone for part of our lives, we usually go to Yellowstone National Park at least once a year; we can’t wait to explore the park with a little one.

We get together with family members every two weeks or so. We visit Jim’s grandparents as often as possible. Our family is excited to play board games, bake bread, and take walks with the newest member of the family. If we were to raise your child, he or she would have lots of cousins to run around with. Jim’s sister recently gave birth to her third child in February 2021.

What Led Us To Adoption

Adoption is something we’re personally familiar with. We have family members who were adopted or who have adopted. Tim’s mother was adopted at birth. We see the beautiful experiences that come from the adoption experience, and it makes us want to expand our family! We are blessed to have each other and our wonderful friends, family, and pets, but we feel it is time for us to bring in a little one to love. We want to provide a solid home, a sense of belonging, and acceptance for who they are and will become. We understand your deep love for your baby, so we want to honor that by providing a similar caring environment.
