dear expectant mother

There is an old quote that reads, “Adoption is another word for love.” Throughout our journey, this quote has played again and again in our hearts and minds. Even though we have not met yet, we feel connected to you through adoption and thus through love. Although we cannot truly fathom the decisions you face, we will always want the best for you and your baby.

If given the opportunity, we would raise your child to know where they come from and the choices you made to ensure a happy and healthy life for them. We will fill our home with unconditional love and laughter as we teach our children to be bold and lead with empathy. We will encourage our children to chase their dreams while we remain an unwavering support system.

And no matter what happens , we want to thank you! Thank you for considering adoption, and thank you for considering us!

About Us

We met by chance in 2013 and quickly fell in love. We lived 200 miles apart, but that wouldn’t stop us. Instead, we filled our nights with phone calls and our weekends traveling to see one another. Then, in 2016, we were married in a perfect, intimate ceremony surrounded by friends and family. From that moment, we have witnessed our lives grow and change in the most brilliant ways we could have imagined. Yet, throughout these pursuits and accomplishments, we have been guided by the same driving force...hope. From the beginning of our relationship, all those years ago and miles apart, we shared the hope of starting a family together one day. Now, more than ever, we are ready to actualize our dreams and share the love in our hearts and home.

Our Home & Pets

Our home is in a well-established, historic neighborhood within walking distance of outstanding restaurants (food is our love language) and museums, as well as a plethora of beautiful parks. Our favorite park is home to the zoo, art museums, and an amphitheater. Another member of the family that loves spending his time outdoors and at the park is our 2 year old pup Winston. We brought Winston home in the spring of 2021 after falling in love with his floppy ears and playful demeanor at the shelter. Winston recently became a big brother to our new puppy, Kathy. Kathy is a ball of energy and love, and gives her brother a run for his money.

Our Extended Family

The youngest of three brothers, Joe grew up in rural Kentucky surrounded by aunts, uncles, and cousins in a close-knit community. Most of Joe’s family lived within miles of his childhood home, including his grandparents, who were just next door. Meanwhile, Alex, the youngest of two brothers, had a much different experience. Alex grew up in one of the largest metropolitan areas in Kentucky. And although Alex’s extended family is smaller than Joe’s, they have proven time and time again that they love just as fiercely.

Despite the fact we now live away from our families, they continue to play a vital role in our lives. Daily phone calls, texts, and FaceTime help keep us connected and bridge distances between us. In addition, we have also been fortunate to rack up many miles traveling the country to spend as many holidays and special occasions as we can with our loved ones. Our family vacations provide us with an opportunity to spend more time together, whether to sandy beaches, snowy peaks, or the bustle of Disney. We would not be who we are without the love and support of parents, family, and friends.

What Led Us To Adoption

Like so many, we have friends and family that have adopted. As a result, we have witnessed each of those lives enriched and fulfilled by the adoption process. That is why our earliest conversations regarding our future centered around adoption being the path we would choose to begin our family. We have always seen adoption as a calling we were meant to fulfill. We also know the incredible sacrifice and love a birthmother extends to her child when she considers adoption, and we would be incredibly honored to be a part of that journey.
