dear expectant mother

The first thing to say is Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. We know this is not a decision you take lightly, and we have so much love to give. We want to give back by embracing your child. We will ensure your child is not left feeling in any way that they are lacking anything. To you, this very special woman making a hugely brave decision, we will do our best to honor you, your family, and your child with the knowledge that you are trusting us with this new life.

The bravery and resilience demonstrated by you in coming to this extremely tough decision is not lost on us. We will be very clear in rearing the child with the knowledge that their birthmom is an incredibly strong person and showed true faith and belief in us as a couple to raise this child in a stable,. loving environment. This child's upbringing by us would be a reflection of the good life that you, their birthmother, wanted for them, and we will honor this so you are always close to all our hearts. We hope to have communication with you in the most meaningful and appropriate way, respecting your wishes post-adoption for how big or small a part you want to play in their life.

We will be very clear in rearing the child with the knowledge that their birthmom is an incredibly strong person and showed true faith and belief in us as a couple to raise this child in a stable,. loving environment.

About Us

We are a good balance of silly and sensible. Joey has always been very outgoing and likes to get involved in everything that relates to his hobbies, which range from watching his favorite rugby team (his native Ireland) as well as singing. He sings with a large male chorus. Zack is more mellow and makes folks roll their eyes with his dad jokes. We are adventurous, whether it’s visiting new places, trying different foods, or experiencing different cultures. Joey has adapted well to life here and exhibits his love for the United States in his enjoyment of football, baseball, and ice hockey. Joey brings his outgoing, funny self to make people laugh and feel welcome, and Zack brings his curious and scientific mind. Joey laughs in an impressed way when Zack begins speaking to strangers in their language in an airport or a taxi. Joey is an organized homemaker, likes to keep things clean and orderly, and takes care of the bills, while Zack is the person who does the DIY or technical fixes in the house. Together we keep a loving, stable household.

Our Home & Pets

We have a suburban home with a nice backyard and swimming pool in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of a STEM elementary school and a high school. Our dog is a two-year-old pittie mix named Lady who is a sweetheart. She is trained and super friendly, and she loves to play, go on walks, and fetch; she loves her humans. We also have two cats: Ben, a beautiful British shorthair, and Gizmo, an affectionate tabby mix. Joey brought Ben to the U.S. when moving from Ireland. Ben keeps to himself, and Gizmo is the mischievous cat, motivated by food and cuddles. We love to spoil the pets with treats and even dress them up in goofy outfits for Halloween.

Our Extended Family

Joey:
My father is a construction worker, and my stepmom is a cleaner and landlord. I have a sister and a brother, with five kids between them. My stepmom has two kids who have two kids of their own. My step-sister just had her second child this summer and has reached out with all kinds of checklists on must-have items to prepare us for a newborn.
We go to Ireland every year for holidays.

Zack:
I’ve always been involved with my family and am always glad to visit on Sunday when Mom cooks a roast with all the fixins’. My oldest sibling lives in Chicago and might be goofier than I am. My sister is the middle child and the only one married with kids (so far). They live near my mom. My sister’s oldest cannot wait to babysit for us. Mom volunteers most of her time to the church these days and helps with grandkids. My dad was the small town doctor and whom I get most of my personality from. He was always able to make children laugh and was the quintessential family man. I regularly talk to or see most of my aunts and uncles. Since we love traveling, we are happy to visit my cousins around TX, NY, and CO.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have always wanted kids, and we couldn't think of a better time than now to open up our loving home to a child. Joey’s older sister was placed for adoption before he was born, and he is blessed to be reunited with her.

We would love an open adoption with some sort of ongoing connection at any level you feel comfortable with. Whatever is best for the child will always be paramount for us. If you choose our family, your baby would always know what an incredibly brave decision his/her birthmother made. They would know what a wonderful gift you gave us by entrusting us to provide a secure, loving, and nurturing environment for the beautiful child they brought into this world.
