Thank you for considering us to care for your baby. We cannot begin to imagine how difficult this decision must be for you, but we want you to know we will be forever grateful for this incredible gift if you choose us. We are so excited to be starting our family, hopefully with your help!
We will do everything in our power to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing home for your baby. Through sports, music, and art, we will always encourage self-expression. We will foster an environment that encourages them to pursue their passions and do what brings them joy. We will instill in them the values that were taught to us—honesty, integrity, compassion, and kindness. And we will teach your child to always respect differences and celebrate diversity.

John was born in West Virginia and grew up in East Texas. Tim was born in Germany, immigrated with his family to the U.S. when he was seven years old, and spent most of his childhood in rural Pennsylvania. Our schooling brought us both to Massachusetts, where we met through mutual friends about ten years ago. Two years later, we tied the knot during an intimate wedding ceremony in Southern California with family and close friends in attendance. We now reside in Wisconsin, where Tim pastors a church and John works as a manager of contracts for a healthcare provider. Since relocating here, we have discovered much of the natural beauty this area has to offer, and we continue to frequent the many parks, lakes, and hiking trails nearby. (Yes, even in the winter!) We enjoy spending time in nature, taking long walks with our dogs, and occasionally curling up on the couch for family movie time.
We live in a four-bedroom home located in a diverse, up-and-coming neighborhood. Most of our neighbors are young professionals, many with young children and dogs. Several parks and playgrounds are located within walking distance from our home, and our city has a lot to offer for families, including good schools, museums, a zoo, and botanical gardens. Our home has a large, fenced-in backyard, perfect for throwing a ball, a game of tag, or playing fetch with our two sweet rescue dogs, Dolce and Makea.
We are both fortunate to have loving and supportive families that are involved in our lives. Even though our families are spread out across the country (in California, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota), we make a special effort to gather for holidays and during the summer. In between visits, we keep in touch regularly by phone and video calls.
Over the past few years, it has become our custom to celebrate our families of origin and our family of choice by hosting Thanksgiving dinner in our home. Each year, Tim cooks a big meal, which we share around our table with those we love. Another family tradition is decorating the Christmas tree while listening to holiday music and drinking hot cocoa. Family is so important to us, and we can’t wait to share all the incredible love we have been fortunate to receive!
Since the day we were married, we have been dreaming of expanding our family. We researched our options and decided adoption was the right path for us. More than anything, we want to be parents and welcome a child into our home and provide them a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where they will thrive. We can’t wait to welcome a new member to our family!
