-Jonathan & David

About Us

We are Jonathan and David, and are two nurses who fell in love while working in a level one trauma center. We were married 3 years ago, but have been together for 8. Jonathan is now a Nurse Manager of 2 surgery centers and David is a Nurse Anesthetist. Jonathan is very charismatic, funny and an all-around people person. David is quiet, kind and loves to spend time with the people he loves. We both come from a large, close network of family and friends. When we are not working, we love spending time with our families, friends and dogs, traveling and trying out new restaurants of any cuisine.

Our Home & Pets

We recently moved into our forever home this summer. We have plenty of space for activities and our neighborhood is filled with young families and children of all ages. We live in a diverse community and enjoy socializing and learning more about our surroundings. The quaint downtown area is within biking distance and has many kid-friendly activities and amazing restaurants. We have two fluffy pups; Tito is a 7-year-old Cavapoo and Millie is a 5-year-old rescue Cockapoo.

Our Extended Family

We both come from amazing families, and we are very close to both. Together we have four siblings and many cousins, too many to count. We are grateful that both families have been so accepting of our relationship and also of our plan to start a family. Because we have extended family members who have also been adopted, we have others to support us in this process.

One of our favorite traditions takes place during the summer family reunion. We always play team games, such as water balloon toss, potato sack race, cornhole, and many more. We look forward to bringing a child into our home to join in on all the festivities. We believe our friends are also our family, and we are so blessed to have such a strong network of people to support us on this journey.

What Led Us To Adoption

We realize there are many different ways to start a family, but because Jonathan was adopted at six days old, the route of adoption has always been special to us. Because we have personally been through the journey of adoption, we truly understand the sacrifice a birth mother has to make. We also understand adoption is a lifelong process of acceptance, understanding, and love. Since we have been together, it has always been a dream of ours to adopt and start a family of our own. We are currently Guncles to eight energetic nieces and nephews and enjoy spoiling them like they’re our own. However, we are missing the final piece to our family puzzle.
