dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We are so grateful you’re taking the time to consider us as potential parents for your child. We do not pretend to understand exactly what you are feeling through this process, but we are already amazed by you. Your strength and bravery in considering adoption could give another family a beautiful gift. We feel so blessed you would consider giving the wonderful gift of parenting your child to us.

Should you choose us, we want you to feel reassured your child would be well loved by us and our whole family. Everyone is already so excited to meet your baby and welcome them. Our daughter prays for the health and safety of her new baby brother or sister every night before bed. We’re all so excited to begin this journey with you.

We have so much to share with another child. We look forward to family vacations, especially a trip to Disney World. We’re also looking forward to everyday family life filled with dance parties in our living room, reading our favorite books together, singing in the car, and baking cookies. Your child already has a place of love in our hearts and home that we cannot wait to share.

We are so grateful you’re taking the time to consider us as potential parents for your child.

-Joshua & Chelsi

About Us

We are high school sweethearts and have been married for eleven years. We are very silly and love playing games. We live a very casual lifestyle full of spontaneous get-togethers with family and friends. Our home is always full of music; we both love to sing. We have a deep love of theater and all things Disney. We are both certified teachers and have a lifelong passion for working with kids. Chelsi is also a writer. We are active members of our church and help with kids’ programming when time allows. Our ideal night is to cozy in with our daughter and puppies for a movie, games, and Chinese takeout. We also love to have dance parties in our living room. We cannot wait to share this life with another child; we both have so much more love to give.

Our Home & Pets

We built our home in 2019 in a quaint location just outside of town. It has a large backyard and a very country feel. We are within walking distance of our local park, which has a playground and public swimming pool. The town where we live is a large tourist attraction, so we have lots of fun festivals year round. Our neighbors have four young children. Our daughter, Addison, and their children go back and forth between our houses to play. Chelsi’s grandparents live just down the road, so we spend a lot of time there as well. We have two small dogs that are great with kids. We have created a home that is full of laughing, singing, and books.

Our Extended Family

Chelsi has two sisters she is very close to; her youngest sister lives close by and is at our home frequently for food and games. Josh has one brother in another state. Since we are both the oldest siblings in our families, we are the first ones to have children.

Chelsi’s grandparents raised her, so they have a very close relationship. We often go to their house to have Sunday night family dinners, play games, and watch a movie together. Josh’s family lives about two hours away, but we visit with them frequently. One of our favorite things to do together is go to the lake house Josh’s mom and her best friend bought together. As often as we can, we camp out there as one big family. Josh’s dad has passed away, but Josh got his love of baking from him.

We also have a couple of close friends who are an honorary aunt and uncle to our daughter. We share special occasions together, like birthdays and Halloween. We have watched their daughters grow, and they have been a part of our daughter’s life since her birth.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have always wanted to adopt as part of building our family. Josh’s father was adopted, so that is something his whole family is passionate about. We also have a few close family friends who have been through the process of adoption. Love is what makes a family, not just your DNA, and life has shown us that many times through the people we have added to our family along the way. We cannot wait to share this family we have created and this love with another child.
