We cannot begin to know the strength you have and the courage you are showing in making this decision. If brought into our lives, your child will be loved not only by us but by a large family and a large community. Your child will have two loving parents who will teach them to love and celebrate their community and heritage, parents who will teach them the traditions of our families, about being charitable to others, and about loving who they are. Your child will have parents who will walk them to the neighborhood school each day, parents who make a mess in the kitchen by cooking huge weekend breakfasts, and parents who will love them unconditionally each and every day.

When Joshua saw Isidro, he looked over at his best friend and told her he was going to spend the rest of his life with that man; we have been together ever since. We both believe ourselves to be incredibly funny and enjoy spending time making those around us laugh. We believe in hard work, spreading love, and teaching that kindness is of the utmost importance. We are movie junkies and can usually be found planning on going to the movies several times a month. We love all the great outdoor activities Colorado offers and love to go hiking all over the state. When we’re at home, we love to garden and play outside. Josh was previously an attorney but was recently appointed to be a Judge. Isidro works as a Court Administrator for the Judge who oversees Attorney Discipline.
We purchased our first home about three years ago. We are fortunate to live in a beautiful home. We are down the street from a wonderful elementary school and live in a quiet neighborhood with many parks. We have a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains and also live near a nature reserve where Josh rides his bike. We have plenty of space for a little one to run around and play. We have two elderly puppies (Hershey and Paris) that love children and sitting by our fireplace to stay warm while we watch a movie. We also have two parakeets (Thor and Blanco) who love to chat with each other and can regularly be heard in the background of all our virtual office meetings.
We are both very close with our families, who are all very excited and supportive about our choice to grow our family through adoption.
Isidro is the youngest of ten children and has raised many of his nieces and nephews. Isidro has more nieces and nephews than he can count but loves being part of a large family. Josh is an only child but grew up with a number of cousins. Josh is very close with his oldest cousin, who also lives in Colorado with her husband and their two children.
We spend holidays together and take turns preparing meals at our house and at Josh’s cousin’s house. Several times a year, Isidro’s mom will come and stay with us for several weeks. While here, Isidro and his mother will garden while Josh gratefully accepts cooking lessons in Mexican cuisine from her.
We are incredibly fortunate to both have successful and fulfilling careers and have long thought about expanding our family to be more than us and our puppies. For many years we did not know how to grow our family until we found out more about adoption and the selfless choice that expectant mothers make. Our home is filled with so much love to give, and we hope to use it to grow through the miracle of adoption.
