Liam & Julie

Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State we live in: Pennsylvania

dear expectant mother

While this only offers you a quick glimpse into who we are, hopefully you will see we are a kind, loving, generous couple that strives to follow Christ’s example. Thank you for your brave consideration of us to raise your child. It is truly a blessing. Should you choose us, we promise your child will always know his or her birth story and that your courageous decision was made out of love. We will provide a stable home full of love and encouragement along with adventures and fun times.

In 2014 we were blessed with the adoption of our son, who was welcomed into our extended families with great excitement. We promise you your son or daughter will also be welcomed with open arms. We are ready to complete our family with another child. Your baby will add another smiling face to both our home and to the growing generation of children in our extended family.

We love to wake up on Saturday mornings and make waffles or pancakes and then sit down as a family to enjoy them. We would love to have another child join our family and be with us on New Year’s Day, when we put down our electronic devices and just spend time together watching movies, playing board games, and reading books. During all the major holidays, we spend as much time as possible with extended family as it is a blessing to be with family.

About Us

We are Liam and Julie. We have known each other our entire lives because we grew up in church together. We have a marriage that has survived some tough times, but with the help of God, it has only made us stronger as a couple. We provide balance for each other and challenge each other to grow in faith and in our careers. Julie works as an associate director of clinical and regulatory affairs at a local company, helping to bring new healthcare innovations from the bench to the bedside. Liam is an accounting controller at a local company. We love to spend our free time doing family activities with our eight-year-old son.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a two-story home in a suburb about 20 minutes from a major city in Pennsylvania. We live approximately five minutes from a very nice park with playgrounds, ballfields, walking trails, field hockey rinks, swimming pool and more. There are plenty of fun and exciting things we like to do. We typically have a cat and dog, but are currently taking a short break from animals. Our neighborhood has friendly people and kids and we chose it because of the amazing school district. When we are at home, we love to play board games. This summer, we spent many afternoons outside drawing life-size game boards with chalk on our driveway and playing all kinds of sports. What fun we had!

Our Extended Family

Liam’s extended family includes his mom, dad, brother, sister, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Julie’s extended family includes her mom and dad, brother, nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. We live only 1.5 hrs away from our families, so we travel to see them and they travel to see us as often as possible. We also talk to them regularly. Most of our traditions happen around the holidays. Over the past few years we have hosted our families for Thanksgiving, where Liam grills the turkey. For Christmas we typically travel to our families’ homes and spend a few days with them. All of the cousins get to play and open gifts together. We cannot wait to add another child to the fun!

We enjoy sporting events and have been to baseball, football, and hockey games. We also go to a local farm every fall to take pictures and pick out our pumpkins to carve. When we adopted our son, our family welcomed him with open arms and hearts. They are excited we are going on this journey again in hopes of extending our family through adoption.

Our Adoption Story

In church on Easter Sunday 2013, we watched a music video to the song “Children of God” by Third Day. The premise of the song is about how we are all adopted by God. We walked out of that church service, looked at each other, and said, “Let’s adopt.” We were honored to adopt our son in July 2014. During that journey and since then, we have met so many wonderful people who have been adopted or have adopted. We are hoping to once again be blessed to add another child into our home through adoption and are excited to watch our son be an awesome big brother. We also have very close friends of ours who are starting their adoption journey at this time.
