Hello! Thank you for giving us a chance by taking the time to get to know us. We know this is a difficult time for you while you are trying to figure out the best option for you and your baby. We hope you feel supported and loved no matter where you are in your journey. We admire you so much for choosing life and for considering adoption. We want you to know we understand life is messy and complicated. Life is full of challenges, and we want you to know how incredibly brave you are as you are choosing to put your baby first above all else.

If you choose us, please be assured that you will only ever receive respect and whatever level of openness and contact you wish to have with your baby. We promise to cherish and love your child with our entire hearts and souls. We will provide a safe, happy and loving home to grow up in a life with every opportunity possible. We promise your baby will always feel love and affection, and they will want for nothing. We will work hard to teach them the importance of always trying their best and teaching them right from wrong in this world of so many unknowns. We will strive to make them the very best they can be.

We are praying for you and your sweet baby throughout your pregnancy, that God will fill you with peace in whatever decision you make.

We promise to cherish and love your child with our entire hearts and souls. We will provide a safe, happy and loving home to grow up in a life with every opportunity possible.

About Us

We are both very outgoing, social people with a deep passion to see our small community thrive in all ways possible. Nate works as a local police officer, and Kari works at the local pharmacy as well as serving as a city alderwoman. We spend time together attending sporting events to cheer on our kids as well as the kids in our community, riding our side-by-side out in the country, or at the family farm playing with the animals and visiting our loved ones. We enjoy being inside playing games, settling in with blankets to watch a movie, or going on adventures. We are always up for a new experience. We love to go swimming at a local pool or run away for the day to a nearby water park or amusement park. We also spend quality time at Kari’s parents’ home, in the pool or outside fishing, walking the trails, or sitting down enjoying the peace and quiet of the country.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a small, rural community in the southern portion of Illinois. Our school district may be small but is known for a wonderful education, excellent team sports, and a sense of community. Many teachers have their children or grandchildren enrolled in the district. Our girls are in classrooms with groups of about 16-18 students and get a lot of one-on-one attention from their teachers. Within our small community, we have a local campground, where activities are held throughout the year for all ages. Our town is full of generations of families that come together and show the true meaning of a community. In our home, we have three dogs, Zuke, Minnie, and Oakley, and a cat named Marie.

Our Extended Family

Kari’s family: My family lives about 12 minutes from our home, and both of my parents are very involved in our lives. My dad is retired, and he spends time working with the animals and enjoys seasonal farming. My mom is retiring soon, with plans to be our daily sitter when we adopt. I have one brother and a nephew, along with several first and second cousins, whom we see and talk to often. We are very close to my family.

Nate’s family: My grandma and mom live about 45 minutes from our town. We see them about once or twice a month. I have a sister, a brother, three nephews and a niece. We enjoy getting the children together to let them play at parks or at my grandparents’ house.

Besides our family members, we have some very important people in our lives. Family does not always mean blood relation; it is something you develop and feel. Our family and friends are very supportive of our decision and cannot wait to help us welcome a new bundle of joy into our home.

What Led Us To Adoption

While every love story is beautiful, we feel our book has chapters left untold. After falling in love with each other and our two daughters, we married and decided to add two more princesses into our home. However, in the spring of 2022, God had other plans for our youngest baby girl. She gained her angel wings at 11 months old in a house fire. We have worked closely with a family counselor through the grieving process individually and as a family. We know there is no replacing our Danika nor would we ever want to. However, we feel our family has so much love to give, and we long for the chance to give another child a loving home. We have the ability and means to raise a baby like they deserve.
