Kate & Cass

Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State we live in: Colorado

dear expectant mother

We already know you are incredibly strong and caring. The struggle you have endured to get here has not been easy. We have so much respect for you. Your courage and love for this baby shows us how beautiful you are as a person. Thank you for caring for this baby and for having the courage to make the hard choice so this baby can have their best chance.

Without your strength and love, we would not have this opportunity to be parents. We desperately want to be parents. We cannot wait to watch our future child in tiny tots hockey games and going hiking on the weekends with the dogs. We are so excited for our future child to build a snowman, ski, and dress up in matching costumes to trick-or-treat as a family. We will watch Disney movies together, the words to which Kate knows by heart. Cass is really good at woodworking. He learned from his father as a kid. We want to share those daddy bonding moments with our future child.

We will take our future child to a different country every year for Christmas so they can experience different traditions and cultures. We want them to have friends all over the world. We will give our future child the very best education. We have been blessed with the ability to provide anything the child needs. We want to share that blessing with this baby. We cannot wait to love them.

Thank you for considering us!

About Us

We love to travel. Our favorite part of traveling is immersing ourselves in the local culture. We stay away from big cities and hang out with the locals. We have made so many friends around the world and experienced many different cultures and customs. When we are at home, we enjoy the company of our two Great Danes, Yzerman and Lidstrom, and our cats, Jack and Abdelkader. Most weekends, we are in the mountains hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing with the dogs. On lazy weekends, we will go to the local farmer’s market, bathe the dogs (sometimes the cats but they hate it), and watch movies as a family. We both love our careers. Kate is a family law attorney and owns her own firm. Cassidy is a geologist. When we take road trips, we stop at all the cool geologic features and take pictures with the dogs.

Our Home & Pets

We live in beautiful Colorado in a bungalow near the park where we take the dogs for walks. We have four elementary schools within a mile of us. We have a fenced back yard and a French tart cherry tree out front. Cassidy makes delicious cherry pies from the cherries every year. There are so many fun things to do in our neighborhood, from farmers markets and fun local breakfast nooks to community gardens and neighborhood sports. We frequently walk to local hockey games. The neighborhood is really safe too. The neighbors all know each other and look out for each other. There are several other families on our block with young children and pets. We could not ask for more.

Our Extended Family

Kate has a very large extended family. The family gets together to celebrate as often as we can. One of our favorite celebrations is Easter. We have an Annual Easter Egg Cracking Contest, complete with prizes and trophies. It can get competitive but is a blast. Kate’s the oldest child and has three siblings, a brother and two sisters, who are much younger.

Cassidy has a smaller extended family in comparison, but we still love to get together for events. We do an annual Father’s Day fishing trip in Michigan. Cassidy has two brothers, one older and one younger. Cassidy is the middle child. While our extended families have their quirks, just like any family, we all love each other. At the end of the day, we really enjoy being around each other.

What Led Us To Adoption

We struggled with infertility for just over five years, including multiple failed IVF and IUI cycles and a miscarriage. It has been a difficult journey. We really want a baby to love and cherish. We believe we are destined to adopt, which is why we could not have a baby on our own. We have always wanted a family so we can give a child every opportunity. Really, we want to give this baby all of the love in the world.
