Hello,

We are Katy and Chris, and we are honored and grateful to be considered as a family for your child. We have twins who are 6 years old (Ethan and Parker), who are as excited as we are to grow our family.

We always knew we wanted kids, and when we started our family, it took us a little while to conceive. We also had a heart for growing our family through adoption, so we started to explore agencies and training. We later found ourselves expecting biological twins and decided to pause the adoption portion of our family's story. We started our parenthood journey with Ethan and Parker, and are ready to grow again, this time through adoption. We are excited to welcome another child into our family, and Ethan and Parker are ready to be the best big brother and sister.

We will love all of the children in our home as our own, and they will know their adoption story and how your love placed them with us. We hope this profile gives you a sense of who we are, what we value, and our passion for growing our family. We will be thinking of you and praying for you as you make whatever is the best decision for you and your child!

Our Love Story

Match.com introduced us in early 2013! Funnily enough, we discovered that we’d been at the same event the year prior but never had the chance to meet then (we even found a picture of Chris in the background of one of Katy’s friend’s pictures!). While we knew early on that we wanted to keep spending time with each other, we dated for a year before getting engaged at a hotel with a picturesque rooftop view of our city skyline.

We were married in our church in 2014. We felt so loved through the presence of family and friends who had traveled from all over the U.S. to be with us. We had a first dance to The Power of Love (this version was by Early November, but we chose it because the original by Huey Lewis was in Back to the Future, Katy’s favorite movie). Our non-traditional cake was an ice cream cake, and we left the reception on a pedi-bike.

Our Home & Neighborhood

Our house is on a cul-de-sac, which is an amazing place for our kids to play! We love getting to know the other parents on the street while watching the children play. We also love spending time in our backyard playing on the swing set when weather permits!

Our neighborhood in Texas has two ponds and a walking path. We love to go on family walks after dinner (with the kids riding bikes, scooters, or riding in the stroller) and look for turtles, fish, birds, and other wildlife.

Our neighborhood school is diverse and highly recommended for its dual-language program, in which students learn both English and Spanish. It also offers many extracurriculars and is very close to our house.

Our Family & Friends

We are the lucky parents of twins Ethan and Parker (age 6) and fur babies Lola (cat), Emmett (cat), and Millie (dog). Ethan loves Pokemon, math, running, and karate. Parker loves all things sparkly, climbing, karate, dancing, singing, and art.

Chris is the oldest of five kids, and there are a total of 10 grandkids (including Ethan and Parker) on his side. He has 21 cousins, 13 from his mom's side who gather annually to celebrate Grandma Nickie's birthday (she recently turned 102!).

Katy is the oldest of two kids, and her brother has a son around Ethan and Parker's age. Her Grandma Ruby recently passed at age 99, and we were thankful to have her living near us for the last few years. She has two cousins that live in the NJ/NY area.

Our Favorite Adventures

Travel is really important to both of us, as it allows us to experience new places and different cultures. Separately and together, we've been to a total of 21 countries (Chris's most notable experiences include studying in Ireland and following the World Cup in Japan/South Korea; Katy's include studying in Paris and volunteering with medical clinics in Haiti and Ghana). We plan to take Ethan and Parker on their first international trip soon—to Paris and Italy—and we hope they'll fall in love with travel and other cultures too!
