Family Type: Gay Couple
State We live in: Florida

dear expectant mother

We would like to thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We want you to know we admire the courage it takes to make this difficult decision for yourself and your child and want to ensure that you feel supported in your journey. If you decide to make an adoption plan with us, we will respect you and any level of openness you would like to have with your child and us. We promise to cherish and love your child with all our hearts and provide an environment where they will always feel free to express their thoughts and feelings and be themselves.

We are very excited to expand our family. We love being uncles; we have so much fun with our nieces and nephews. When we are with them, we love playing outside, giving piggyback rides, immersing ourselves in the stories they create with toys, singing, dancing, and having tummy time. These are the kinds of activities we would do with your child.

We are thankful for the opportunity to build a relationship with you and your child. Providing a loving, happy, and safe environment is the most important thing to us. Your child would grow up in a home that values self-confidence, education, perseverance, curiosity, and compassion. We strongly believe a child should have a life filled with positivity, joy, and laughter. We will incorporate these principles into your child’s upbringing. Thank you again for your consideration of us in your adoption process.

With love,
Keith & Ibukun

We are very thankful and excited to have the chance to grow our family by bringing a child into our loving home.

About Us

We met on a dating app several years ago. We were a long-distance couple for about a year, only getting to see each other on the weekends. We hated the five days apart, so we bought a house and now live together with our two dogs, Miko and Kipper. Fortunately, we both have the opportunity to work from home. Ibukun is an engineering manager. He loves his job and finds the technical aspects and mentorship rewarding and engaging. He’s been pursuing his passion for engineering since he was ten, so you could say he’s living his dream. Keith is a continuous improvement manager, which he loves because he regularly mentors new talent in his company. Outside of work, we enjoy cooking, trying new restaurants, and traveling. We also love having game nights and kickbacks with our friends, families, and dogs.

Our Home & Pets

We purchased our home in a small town right outside Orlando. It is a two-story, three-bedroom, 2.5-bath, open floor plan home. We get to be in a more relaxed area with a short drive to theme parks, lakes, zoos, movie theaters, restaurants, shopping, and weekend festivals and markets. We have two dogs, Miko and Kipper. Miko is very friendly, playful, and active. She loves people and other animals. Kipper is small but thinks he’s a big guard dog. He likes to monitor the house and thoroughly inspects our home a few times daily to ensure we’re all safe.

Our Extended Family

We both have large extended families we love to spend time with for family celebrations and the holidays. Keith has two brothers, one older and one younger. They are close, and he loves spending time with all his nieces and nephews; he has six. Since Keith’s family lives the closest, we spend a lot of time with them for Sunday dinners, game nights, and singing karaoke. We especially love spending time with his grandparents.

Ibukun has two brothers and one sister. They live in Maryland, and we visit them twice a year or more to spend time with them. We especially enjoy getting to spend time with his nephew while in town.

We enjoy our family time and love that everyone is so excited to be grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins again. They cannot wait to share their love with the new addition to our family.

What Led Us To Adoption

We always envisioned having a family. Early on, we discussed having children. We knew adoption was the best choice to build our family. We are very thankful and excited to have the chance to grow our family by bringing a child into our loving home. Keith’s grandparents had trouble having children and had the opportunity to adopt their niece. Her mother felt they could provide her with a stable home with endless possibilities. She was happy to be able to give this gift to them. They never kept the adoption a secret and always told her how thankful they were to have her. We are excited to be on this journey to grow our family!
