dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you so much for reviewing our profile. We acknowledge and understand the difficult decision you are faced with. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the wonderful consideration you are giving us in this significant chapter of our lives. Your strength in navigating this decision is truly commendable. Our decision to adopt was influenced by the fact that we were both adopted. The loving families that raised us both have instilled a deep appreciation for adoption, birthmothers, and the families that are willing to open their hearts and homes to children.

In our close-knit family, your baby will find love and support while surrounded by laughter and others who understand the importance of adoption. The welcoming atmosphere we have cultivated in our home extends to both family and friends. If you entrust us with the forever care of your child, know that they will be embraced with open hearts and nurtured in an environment filled with encouragement. We eagerly anticipate the possibility of welcoming your little one into our lives and providing a stable, supportive, and loving home for them.

Sincerely,
Chris & Kellie

About Us

Chris is an airport designer at a large engineering firm. He is an extrovert and enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. Kellie is an estate and gift tax specialist for a local accounting firm. She is an introvert and loves to read, run, and learn. We both work from home and enjoy spending quality time together outside of work. We enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures and cuisine. On quiet nights at home, we work on jigsaw puzzles, watch movies, or play boardgames. We try to stay healthy, active, and fit; we go to the gym together as well as go for walks, runs, and hikes. We try to eat dinner together at home most nights. Concerts and sporting events are also activities we enjoy.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We live in a wonderful neighborhood in Washington State. It is both rural and suburban. We live on two-plus acres, but we are close enough to our neighbors that we see them on a regular basis. There is a private neighborhood park across the street from our house where children love to run around and play on the playground. We were fortunate to purchase a home within a highly rated school district. The church we attend is conveniently located only five minutes away. We recently adopted a rescue puppy named River that has been a wonderful addition to our home.

Our Family & Friends

Chris’s parents come from large families with numerous siblings; as a result, he has many cousins. He grew up all over Alaska, whereas the rest of his extended family still lives on the East Coast. We remain close to them by flying to see them for holidays and weddings.

Kellie was adopted into a smaller family, with numerous cousins, second cousins, and third cousins. Chris’s dad moved to the area where Kellie was raised, and our combined families now gather together to celebrate every major holiday, like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. Her parents host numerous family outdoor dinners at their house on the lake. Late in life, she learned she has a biological half-sister; they like to keep in touch via text message and telephone calls as she lives in North Dakota.

What Led Us To Adoption

We decided to adopt our first child because of our personal histories. We were both adopted, Chris from South Korea and Kellie from eastern Washington. We were both lucky to find loving families who did a wonderful job of raising us. Being adoptees, we’ve had the opportunity to experience so many of life’s joys that we may not have gotten to experience otherwise, such as living abroad, growing up on a farm, and pursuing higher education. We are excited and can’t wait to share our home and love with a child.
