Family Type: Lesbian Trans Couple
State We live in: Colorado

dear expectant mother

Thank you so much for considering us as the adoptive parents of your child. We can only imagine how difficult this decision is for you, and we have the utmost respect for you and what you feel is best for your child. We recognize the love and care for your child that goes into this decision. Although we will never fully understand the difficult decision you are making, please know we are two loving and compassionate people who are so excited at the prospect of being adoptive parents.

In our family, your child will be loved and reminded of that every day. They will have every one of their needs met and will be provided with every opportunity we can provide in life. We promise to not only provide a home but to also provide wisdom, guidance, and love for as long as we live. We will love your child as though they were our own, and we will do our best to raise them to be a wonderful person you would be proud of.

Raising this child will not end for us after 18 years. We will stand by your child’s side when they grow into adults, go to college, move out, get married, have kids of their own, or whatever they choose to do in life. We will stand with them and support them during all phases of life, no matter how hard things get. All of these things we promise to you, and again, we thank you greatly for considering us.

Our thanks,
Reyna and Kellie

About Us

We are two incredibly passionate and open-minded individuals. Kellie has a degree in anthropology, and Reyna possesses a master’s degree in music and is currently working on her second master's degree in Clinical Counseling. We enjoy outdoor activities like mountain biking, hiking, camping, and taking our dog, CJ, on walks. We live in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, ensuring that your child will always be close to exploration and adventure. Both of us share a deep passion for music and play a variety of instruments. Above all, we value love and acceptance for all. Reyna worked in the local school district for five years and can guarantee that your child will have access to a quality education, while Kellie works in a local museum and conducts tours of archaeological sites in the surrounding area. We can promise that if you choose us, with our combined talents, your child will be loved and accepted for who they are and who they become each day.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a very safe and quiet neighborhood in western Colorado. We have two dogs: one named CJ, who is small and older who loves everyone, and a second dog named Steve, who is small and young but adores playing. We also have a cat named Bitzie, who enjoys lounging in the sun and chasing the dogs around the house. Reyna worked for the local school district, so she is familiar with the best schools for our future child. Kellie works at a museum where we would love to take our future child. We are also less than an hour away from all the hiking, camping, fishing, and biking your child could desire. Our town offers a variety of restaurants, malls, museums, movie theaters, and community events that provide plenty of family fun.

Our Extended Family

Family has always been important to both of us. We both are the oldest siblings in our families, with Kellie having one brother and Reyna having a brother and a sister. We keep as close a relationship as we can with all our siblings, who are at different stages in their lives. Kellie is one of 15 grandchildren on both sides that are spread all across the country.

We love to get together for dinner and game nights. We have many family members, by blood or by choice, and friends we get together with as often as life allows for game nights or just to hang out together. We have several who live in Colorado, making seeing them a bit easier, but we try to see the ones in other places as often as we can.

What Led Us To Adoption

From the time we fell in love, we always dreamed of adopting a child. Both of us long to be parents, and we are so excited by the opportunity to adopt. We were both raised in very loving homes, and we desperately want to provide that same love and opportunity to another child. After getting married and purchasing a home in a nice neighborhood, we decided it was time to expand our family. We are so excited at the thought of being parents, and we can’t wait to provide your child with a life full of love, laughter, comfort, and compassion.
