State We live in: Illinois

dear expectant mother

We cannot even begin to express our gratitude to you for what you may consider doing for our family as well as yours. The sacrifice you’re making for your child is absolutely one of the most difficult ones imaginable. Your courage and strength are admirable, and we understand the unconditional love of a mother for their child to be one of the strongest bonds there is. Kevin has raised a son, so we completely understand how strong that love and bond really are. If you choose us, your baby will know and understand the love, courage, and strength of their mother. We know from close friends who were adopted how amazing their lives were and how wonderful of a chance they were given to grow and thrive in a loving household. We are very excited to become parents together and to raise a baby, and we look forward to watching them grow, learn, and talk. As stated earlier in our profile, we live in a modest home in a well diverse and friendly, up-and-coming, neighborhood, with families and kids all over. One of the greatest gifts we could offer a child is to raise them in a loving household full of laughter and joy that’s in a wonderful and diverse community. We cannot thank you enough for considering us. Please know if you bless us with your child, they will be safe, happy, and, most of all, loved.
With Love,
Kevin & Joe

About Us

We’ve been married for a little over three years and have been together for ten years. We’re both lovers of the outdoors and also love doing “Do-It-Yourself” projects around the house and garden. Kevin is a project manager for a financial technology firm, and Joe is an oil operator at a manufacturing plant. Kevin is the more outgoing of us, and Joe is the quieter, more thoughtful one. We balance each other out rather well in this regard. We also love to listen to music together and often just have it playing while we’re cooking or doing things around the house, anything from Motown to ’70s rock, ’80s, heavy metal, and jazz. Kevin loves to read, and Joe loves finding out how things work by taking them apart.

Our Home

We enjoy our community and participate in activities as well as volunteering where it is needed. We have lived in our recently remodeled 1920s bungalow for about three years and could not be happier in a suburb just outside of a major city. It’s a nice neighborhood with friendly activities and parks all around. The neighborhood is very diverse and filled with kids of many different cultural backgrounds. Our jobs are conveniently close to our home and provide a great work-life balance.

Our Extended Family

We both have large families, but Joe’s is really large! Kevin is the oldest of four with one sister and two brothers, who all live in Michigan, as do his parents. Joe is the second youngest of ten, with most of his family living in Wisconsin. We both have great relationships with our families and enjoy traveling the to 5 five hours to visit them. Camping, grilling, and socializing are amongst many of the activities we enjoy doing with family. More often than not, the night ends with a campfire and s’mores for dessert, while enjoying the fun, love, and laughter of each other’s company. Holiday traditions are spent with family and friends alike. Traditionally, we spend our Thanksgiving at home with Kevin’s son and his wife as a family, while traveling to Kevin’s side of the family for Christmas around December 25 and with Joe’s family in January for Christmas.

What Led Us To Adoption

We’ve been talking about expanding our family for a few years now. We each have a best friend who was adopted, and their experiences were very touching for us as they both had wonderful parents. After getting settled into our new home, we discussed our options and made the final decision to take the next step forward to hopefully welcome a new member to our family. We’re excited to raise a child together.
