About Us

Patrick (as told by Kevin) is the most selfless and dedicated person I know. He always puts the needs of his family and friends above his own. Together, we love to travel and experience new adventures, whether it is music, art, or cultures. Patrick loves to host celebrations for his friends and family. Kevin (as told by Patrick) is the most loving and passionate man I have ever met. He truly pours himself into everything he does. His passion for teaching is evident both in and outside of the classroom. Kevin loves to spend Sundays watching his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, with family and friends. He loves to travel, especially to his hometown of Washington, DC. Our story: We met while attending the University of Southern Mississippi in 2008. What started out as a friendship quickly developed into love. We were married on June 6, 2017, in the town we call home.

Our Home & Pets

In 2016 we bought our first home with our dog, Benji. Since then, we have renovated and added on three additional bedrooms. Our neighborhood is close to several parks, where the children and families in the area love to play. We even have a few of the children visit weekly. In recent years a large number of our friends have moved into the same neighborhood as us so now everyone is within walking distance. The town we live in has a great community. They even put on special events and festivals in the downtown area for the holidays.

Our Extended Family

Our moms are both one of seven children, and both of our fathers are one of five! Between our two families, we have three siblings and over 50 cousins. Most of our family lives in the same neighborhood as us. We love to gather for the holidays and even lunch on Sundays. Family is important to us, and ours are involved in our journey. We would love to show the same love and support to your child.

What Led Us To Adoption

We are very excited about becoming fathers. About two years after we were married, our friend had a baby. We were infatuated with her. A year later, another friend had a baby. This is when we learned we love children and want to be fathers. We have lots of “nieces and nephews” whom we love very much. We have a lot of very close friends, and there are a handful of them who were adopted themselves. We reached out to them, and they were very positive about their experiences. That just confirmed our desire to adopt. We have been on this journey for over two years now and are still as excited as we were when we started.
