Kimberly & Ignacio

Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State we live in: Utah

dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking the time to get to know who we are. We don’t believe in coincidence, and we believe everything happens for a reason. We can think of no greater honor than to be able to raise a child in our loving home. We understand how difficult this decision must be. If we are chosen, we would like you to take comfort in knowing we would provide your child with a home filled with opportunity, joy, hope, love and laughter.

There are many activities we are excited to share with your child. We love road trips, both in the United States and Mexico. One trip we especially look forward to is Disneyland. This will be the first trip to Disneyland for Ignacio, Nicolas, and our future child. We can picture the excitement on a child’s face as he or she sees Mickey Mouse for the first time or watches the light show at night.

Music is a part of our lives. Kimberly plays the piano and would teach your child how to play. As a family, we would attend plays and musicals. When the sun goes down in the evening and your child gets tired, we look forward to reading a book together and tucking them in with hugs and kisses.

We hope you have been able to get to know us and that this will ease your difficult decision.

We have been extremely blessed to adopt an adorable little boy and are ready and excited to be able to adopt again.

About Us

We have always believed in the importance of education, and both of us have bachelor's degrees (Kimberly has two as well as a minor in Spanish). We are both bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, and we feel it is important to teach a child both languages. Currently, Ignacio works as a supervisor, and Kimberly works as a registered nurse. We hope to be able to instill our love for learning in our children. After many years on our own, we found love in what we felt was a very unexpected place, the Internet. From our first date, we were inseparable and knew we had found the one we wanted to share our life with. The decision to marry was easy. After a short engagement, we tied the knot. The only thing that would make our lives happier and more fulfilled would be to share our love with children.

Our Home & Pets

We have a home situated on nearly two acres of land, which some younger family members call a park! Next door we have a horse ranch. We have lots of space to run and play and an area we are preparing to raise chickens. Our English bulldog, Ruby, loves kids. She is gentle, loving, and loyal. In the summer, we garden, and in the winter, we tube and snowshoe. Fall at our home lends itself to sitting around the campfire making s’mores and telling stories. We are so excited to share the Fourth of July parade and Christmas Village with your child. These are just two of the community activities we enjoy every year as a family.

Our Extended Family

We both have amazing extended families. Kimberly’s is in the United States, and Ignacio’s is in Mexico. Kimberly comes from a family of seven siblings and 24 nieces and nephews, while Ignacio has three siblings and eight nieces and nephews. There is never a dull moment at our house!

Christmas Eve at Grandma’s house is a family favorite. It is filled with lots of good food, games, and, of course, presents. At times, it seems the presents nearly block the tree from view! Birthday parties for the old and young are well attended by all family members who live nearby. You have not heard the happy birthday song until you have heard Kimberly’s family sing their rendition with many “hos” and “heys.” Easter in Mexico is spent at the beach playing in the water, building sand castles, and enjoying each other’s company. We cannot wait to share these, as well as many other, traditions with your child.

When we announced our decision to adopt again, our families could not have been happier and more supportive. Our families know what a blessing adoption has been and will continue to be in our lives and theirs.

Our Adoption Story

We tried several avenues to have a family and, in our hearts, knew adoption was the way we wanted to start and grow our family. We have been extremely blessed to adopt an adorable little boy and are ready and excited to be able to adopt again. Kimberly's side of the family, prior to our own adoption, has been involved in both sides of the adoption process. An older sister was adopted at birth, and seven cousins were adopted from the United States as well as El Salvador. Kimberly also has a niece who, at the age of seventeen, was the birth mother to a beautiful little girl. This little girl today is eleven years old and living a very happy life with her adoptive parents.
