dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We know if you are reading this, you are experiencing a lot of thoughts and emotions in the present moment. We want you to know that even though we cannot fully understand what you are experiencing, we are still here with you. We want you to know we are here in this situation with you for the same reason as you. That reason is love. We don’t know you personally yet, but we’re willing to bet you love your child and want to see them flourish, learn, and grow up healthy and happy. We want you to know you are not alone and that we also desire the same things.

When all is said and done, we still want you to be comfortable with your choice. We cannot express enough how brave you are, and we will never fully understand your emotional journey. We want you to know we are here with you and not against you. If you are considering us to adopt your child, then we want you to get to know us and be comfortable with us. We are not here to undermine you as a mother in any way. We are simply hoping we can help you by being the best parents we can be. In return, you would be giving us the greatest miracle we could ever ask for. We are really looking forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,
Kyler and Zach

We are simply hoping we can help you by being the best parents we can be. In return, you would be giving us the greatest miracle we could ever ask for.

About Us

We were both born and raised in south central Pennsylvania. After high school, Kyler went on to become a Registered Nurse and is currently a Nurse Case Manager. His hobbies and interests include movies, video games, spending time with friends, the beach, and cooking (really love this one!), and he finds enjoyment in smelling/burning new candles. Zach gets to work on computers all day making apps. When he is not working, he is at the gym, building a car, or taking a walk with our dogs. We both love food, whether we are cooking at home or going out to eat. A special tradition for us is that we always make time for dinner together, even when our schedules are different.

Our Home & Pets

Living in Pennsylvania, we have all four seasons, with plenty of sunshine, leaves, and snow to go around at our house. Pennsylvania offers access to beaches and wilderness. We love to joke that we are the youngest couple on the street. We live in a very quiet neighborhood that many of our neighbors have lived in for years. It has a great community feel that provides a safe and welcoming environment. We started our fur family with Lily, whom we rescued as a foster puppy. We then moved to adopting our other dog, Bear, and our cat, Zerrick. All three have joined us on our travels for work and play.

Our Extended Family

We both come from big families. We currently have four nephews and one niece, with two nephews on the way. Kyler is close with his grandparents, aunts, uncle, and cousins on his mom's side. Kyler has four half-sisters and two half-brothers, currently ranging from ages six to thirty-one. Since Kyler didn’t have the opportunity to grow up with his siblings in the same household, he often enjoys getting together with them to talk and enjoy their company. Kyler’s family has been going to the Outer Banks for 50 years. They spend summer vacation and Christmas there every year.

Zach also grew up with an older brother and two younger sisters. He and his brother played football together and are very close. Zach’s family has a place on the Eastern Shore that provides a place for family gatherings. When at the Eastern Shore, much of the time is spent on the family boat crabbing or fishing. Overall, our close family structure is a great support system at any time because we always know how to have a good time and uplift each other.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have always expressed the desire to have children from day one of our relationship. We spoke with friends, family, and coworkers about our options and found adoption impacted many of our friends and family in positive ways. It has been inspiring for us to hear from others about how grateful they were to have been adopted and how it led them to success and opportunity in life. What hit home the most was the gratitude that was expressed for their adoptive parents. As a couple, we want to be those parents. We hope this opportunity opens up other gateways for adoption and fostering to complete our family.
