Lauren & Anthony

Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State we live in: Ohio

dear expectant mother

First and foremost, thank you so much for taking the time to read our profile and for considering us as prospective parents. We know you are making an impossible decision, and we have the utmost respect for you and the selfless decision you are making. We cannot begin to understand what you are feeling right now but will continue to send you love and comfort. We hope you find solace knowing your child will be loved unconditionally.

If given the opportunity to raise your child, he or she will be surrounded by love and support from the minute they enter our lives. We will work every day to make sure they know how special, how important, and how loved they are. It will be our mission to share new experiences with them, teach them about the world, and prepare them for their future. They will become a vital member of our family, both our immediate family and extended family. As a biracial couple, we understand the importance of cultural identity. You can be assured we will always be open and honest with your child about who they are.

Again, thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your child. As you face this most difficult decision, please know two strangers are sending you love and continuous prayers. Whatever decision you make, just know we would be honored to be the parents of your child.

As you face this most difficult decision, please know two strangers are sending you love and continuous prayers.

About Us

Our relationship is built on love, respect, and trust. We love spending time together watching movies, going out to eat, walking the dogs, and exploring new places. Anthony teaches middle school science and coaches high school football. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and listening to podcasts about current events, health, and sports. He is always up to giving home projects a shot. Lauren teaches middle school social studies. She enjoys reading, cooking, baking, and shopping. She participates in a monthly book club and gets together frequently for brunch with friends. We both have fun-loving personalities and like to joke with each other. Spending time with our family and friends is important to us. We jump at the opportunity to have family over or travel to see them. We try to go on one vacation a year. This is something we look forward to all year long.

Our Home & Pets

We consider our home to be comfy and inviting. We live in a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath, two-story home. We recently finished our basement and love spending time relaxing down there. Our backyard opens up to a nature preserve, and we love watching the seasons change. Our subdivision is full of families with children, many of whom gather to play during the warm weather. Some of the neighbor kids have even befriended our two small dogs. Our dogs are friendly to all they meet and love to cuddle up beside us.

Our Extended Family

Family is extremely important to both of us. Lauren has one brother, who is married and has three children. Although her parents and brother’s family live on opposite sides of the state, everyone tries to make it a priority to get together at least once a month. Lauren’s extended family on both sides spend a lot of time together, celebrating holidays or just family time.

Anthony has one sister and two nephews. His parents, sister, and nephews live a couple of hours away, but we travel to see them once every couple of months. Anthony’s parents are retired, and they are active in their community.

We rotate major holidays between both families. Lauren’s mom always makes a huge deal out of holidays, hence the new holiday: Christgiving. When we celebrate Thanksgiving with Lauren’s family, we follow up with Christmas the next day. There are games played, gifts opened, and lots of food eaten. Holidays with Anthony’s family are quieter but filled with delicious meals and lots of laughter. Both sides of the family are overjoyed to welcome a new addition.

What Led Us To Adoption

After several years of struggling with infertility, we came to the decision together that adoption can be our path to parenthood. This is not a journey we take lightly. We are ready to open our hearts to a baby through adoption and hope this is an opportunity to complete our family. While adoption is a new experience for Anthony, Lauren has several cousins who were adopted. Both families would welcome a child into their lives with open arms and unconditional love.
