Lee-Ann & Brendan

Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State We live in: Michigan

dear expectant mother

We know that you are not just making a decision—you are carrying life, carrying hope, and carrying dreams for your child's future. That is an enormous burden and a beautiful gift, all at once. Considering adoption takes profound strength and selfless love, and we deeply admire you for even exploring this path. We imagine you may be facing moments of doubt, pain, and also love. Please know that whatever you're feeling is valid, and that there is no right or wrong way to walk this path. If you choose us as adoptive parents, we're excited to forge this new path together.

Adoption is prevalent in Brendan's life, with multiple adopted family members and a very close friend who was adopted as a baby. They found love and peace through their journeys and had incredible support throughout. Any child in our care would receive the same unconditional love and support from our close family and friends. We like to imagine reading bedtime stories, waking up early to make pancakes, and cuddling with our furry best friends.

Should you choose us, your child will grow up understanding that their life was shaped not only by us, but by the incredible woman who gave them life and made the most loving and courageous decision on their behalf. Whatever decision you make, we wish you peace, support, and healing in the days ahead.

With open hearts,
Brendan and Lee-Ann

About Us

Howdy! We are Brendan and Lee-Ann, two down-to-earth people who were lucky enough to find each other online. We connected in 2021, bought a wonderful home in 2024, and had a beautiful marriage ceremony later that year. Lee-Ann has been quoted as saying, "Brendan is the best thing I've found on the internet." Our personalities complement each other well—Brendan brings Lee-Ann out of her shell, and Lee-Ann pushes Brendan to try new things. To put it simply, Brendan is an insurance agent, and Lee-Ann is a mortgage servicer. Brendan enjoys all sports, but loves bowling and golfing most. Lee-Ann can often be found in the kitchen—she is an amazing cook and baker. We both love cuddling with our furry family, Blue and Ollie, our dog and cat. We love doing just about anything, as long as we get to do it together!

Our Home & Neighborhood

We own a bi-level home with a large, fenced-in backyard and a deck for cooking and hosting. The elementary school and playground are within shouting distance, and it's a short drive to our local zoo and nature center. The school district is highly rated, with a bus stop in front of our house. The neighborhood is very active and pet-friendly, and we and our dog love to go for walks. Blue is our oversized lap dog who loves everyone and lives for attention. Blue loves to join us in visiting local pet-friendly establishments and in seeing family and friends. Our cat, Ollie, is also oversized, but that doesn't stop him from being playful and active. The boys provide delight, comfort, and entertainment to our home and family.

Our Family & Friends

We're thankful to have close-knit families, which often intertwine!

Lee-Ann is supported by her mother and one older brother who has two children—they are 8 and 10. We love hanging out with the kids for the day and doing whatever their hearts desire, whether it's watching a movie, going to the park, or eating too many s'mores! The family tradition on Lee-Ann's side is to get together at her mom's house around Christmas for "cookie day": a day spent baking hundreds of cookies to give away, decorating the Christmas tree, and opening our yearly ornaments.

Brendan's family consists of his parents, younger sister, brother-in-law, and their two kids who are 4 and 1. We take several vacations each year, attend our nephew's T-ball games, and were grateful to see both of them take their first steps. Brendan's extended family on his maternal side is extremely close and gets together regularly. Holidays and birthdays are another reason to see the most important people in our lives.

Neither one of us has large friend groups, but the ones we do have are extremely close, incredibly reliable, and basically an extension of family.

What Led Us To Adoption

The opportunity to pursue adoption brings us immense joy and thankfulness as we set out to create our own family rooted in love and support. Adoption was seriously considered even prior to finding out we are unable to conceive biological children. Brendan has experienced adoption firsthand—his cousin, uncle, and one of his closest friends were adopted. Surrounded by the love of our family and friends, we are eager to embrace the journey ahead. While we lead fulfilling lives and cherish our close families, we made a conscious decision to start our family and are overjoyed to guide and provide unconditional love to a new member of our pack.
