dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

First and foremost, we are absolutely humbled and grateful you would consider us to love your baby. It has been a dream of ours almost from the moment we met to add to our family. We have unending admiration and respect for you as we know the decision of adoption isn’t an easy one.

We promise to love your baby with every ounce of our being. We will take your baby on fun adventures to the zoo, museums, and parks. We will teach them to fish and play baseball (or softball), take them on vacations, and provide them with a safe and comfortable life full of love and laughter. Your baby will have two big brothers to watch over them and keep them safe, and they are so excited about being big brothers!

We want your baby to know you and the selfless decision you made. We are looking forward to meeting you and creating a beautiful life for your baby should you bless us with this gift.

We promise to love your baby with every ounce of our being.

About Us

They say opposites attract, and that is true for us. Karen is outgoing, and Lee is more laid back. We enjoy spontaneous adventures, a day at the beach, road trips, and game nights with the family. Karen works as a plant logistics operator. Lee is a nurse and has worked in several different fields, from physical rehabilitation to long-term care. We have two sons who share Lee’s DNA and Karen’s heart. Ray is 16 and loves football and his Camaro. Aiden is 14 and enjoys playing his PlayStation. On a normal evening, you can find us sitting on the patio sharing about our day or on the couch with a bowl of popcorn while watching a movie. We like to go out to eat and enjoy trying new restaurants when we aren’t trying new recipes at home. Karen is the chef, and Lee is the taste tester.

Our Home & Pets

We recently moved into a new home in a quaint little cul-de-sac where all of the kids in the neighborhood play together. We live approximately half a mile from the school in a rural area, but larger cities with cool attractions such as zoos and museums are within a two-hour drive. We have a two-year-old Morkie named Bentley who has stolen all of our hearts with his cute gumball eyes.

Our Extended Family

Karen comes from a larger family with two sisters and one brother. Her older sister resides in Washington, while her younger sister and brother live approximately an hour away here in Louisiana. They keep in touch regularly via text and have Sunday dinners when schedules allow. She has a host of nieces and nephews she has enjoyed watching grow into successful adults. Her mother lives approximately one hour away. They enjoy spending time together as frequently as possible, looking through old photographs and cutting up over the past.

Lee is an only child. Her mother lives 30 minutes away. They enjoy drinking a cup of coffee together either on the front porch in rocking chairs or on the back patio.

Our favorite tradition is Thanksgiving week. Lee’s extended family comes in from out of state, and everyone spends the week together cooking, laughing, and telling stories.

What Led Us To Adoption

From the moment we met, we knew we were made for each other and that we wanted to have a baby together. Lee has two biological sons Karen adores as if they were her own, but we want more children and to raise and love a baby together as well. We tried IVF unsuccessfully and were heartbroken. Upon discussion with friends, we were introduced to the idea of adoption. It was suggested we get in contact with LifeLong, and after much discussion, we decided to reach out. We have a beautiful home filled with an abundance of love and laughter and are excited to share it with a new addition to the family.
