Family Type: Traditional
State we live in: Ohio

dear expectant mother

We both want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading our profile and considering us. We would be beyond honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to love and cherish your child. It can’t be an easy decision you’re making, and we hope knowing how much love and attention your child will be given eases that burden for you. Whether you select us or another loving family, your baby is going to have a wonderful life. We just hope to be part of it.

It’s difficult to fully capture what kind of life we want to share with your child in this space. We cannot wait to help them grow, learn, and explore the world. Our family enjoys going to renaissance festivals, gaming conventions, on hiking trips, and on relaxing vacations. There will be no shortage of adventures. Both of us have always dreamed of being parents and even now can imagine so clearly how everyday life would be having a little one around the house.

We want to thank you for considering us, for reading through our profile, and for sharing your little one with the world. We’d be more than happy to answer any further questions about our lifestyle and, if you were to choose us, the environment your child would grow up in. We hope our story speaks to you and you allow us to welcome your child and love them as our own.

We both want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading our profile and considering us. We would be beyond honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to love and cherish your child.

About Us

We met a little later in life online. We began talking and eventually dating, followed by an apartment, a house, and marriage! We really connected over each other’s humor. We’re both fairly laid-back, and it’s easy to make each other laugh. Our hobbies meshed and influenced each other in interesting ways. Liz likes to create costumes and props from video games, movies, and comics. Steve was never artsy, but he’s been learning and creating his own stuff! Steve’s favorite thing to do is camping, which Liz never tried before and now loves. Now it’s a vacation favorite! At the end of the day, our house is full of love and laughter, and we’d be absolutely blessed and honored to share that with your child.

Our Home & Pets

We’ve recently settled down in a two-story home with a large, canopied yard. Our dogs, Ellie, Nattie, and Kiki, love to run and play outside. They’re great with children and would love a human sibling to join them! We also have three indoor cats. Ollie and Ozzy are rescue brothers, and Valentina is our special needs cat; she’s blind but gets around just fine and loves to cuddle. We’re located in an area with a ton of places nearby perfect for kids—parks, lakes, amusement parks, a museum, the zoo, and an aquarium! We’ve taken our god-child (five years old ) to these places, so they’re kid-approved! Our home will never have a shortage of things to do! Our favorite camping spot is only a half-hour away for summer mini vacations.

Our Extended Family

We’re both from fairly large families, so our holidays tend to bounce around so we can celebrate with as much family as possible. Liz has one brother and two parents (who are eager to love on a grandbaby), and Steve has two sisters, one brother, and four nieces and nephews (who were adopted themselves).

For major holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving, we trade off which side of the family we spend it with so we get to see everyone. Steve’s family has a tradition to gather and make lots of baked goods to share among ourselves and friends. Liz’s family has a favorite spot to go to see fireworks on the Fourth of July each year. There’s always face painting, magicians, and balloon animals for the kids! We also have a smaller tradition in the fall we call Friendsgiving. Typically we get together before or after Thanksgiving and dedicate an evening to our closest friends (aka found family).

Outside of immediate family, our closest family friends have two kids, five and one (our god-children). They live close enough your child will never be left wanting for a playdate.

What Led Us To Adoption

We talked about adoption early on in our relationship. Steve was unsure if he’d be able to have children, and Liz had always been interested in the adoption path. After trying for a few years, adoption became the obvious answer. Steve’s family has multiple adopted children, so we already knew firsthand how wonderful adoption is. We’ve both had a lot of experience with children. Steve grew up babysitting with his late mother, and Liz routinely watched the children at after-school programs and volunteered her time at a special-needs center for children. We both deeply love kids and want nothing more than to have the chance to parent.
