dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little and to consider us as potential adoptive parents. While we have not met, we imagine it is overwhelming considering all of the options for your baby. It is our history of love and family that makes us passionate to adopt. We’re prepared to offer a loving and secure home filled with laughter, family, and opportunities to celebrate where they come from and who they become. We’re excited to provide your child with guidance and support, if you choose us, and look forward to the adventures and traditions we will experience together as a family.

Our promise is to offer love, kindness, patience, and encouragement to your child. We understand that your child has a history and heritage that needs to be respected, valued, and celebrated, and we will take every opportunity to do so. We feel blessed to know we could be considered to adopt your baby and wish you strength and peace on your journey.

Our promise is to offer love, kindness, patience, and encouragement to your child.

About Us

Fate brought us together at a Thai restaurant, where we felt an instant connection. Lonnie is a logical, generous, hard-working person who gets a lot of joy from helping others. Lonnie previously worked for a university before seeking a new opportunity with the federal government. Jose is nurturing, funny, and the planner of the family. He is an administrative assistant at a school district and values the importance of empowering children through education. Together, we enjoy traveling, watching low-budget horror movies, cheering for our favorite team, camping, and trying new recipes through Jose’s culinary adventures. We feel blessed to be married and are fortunate to have careers we enjoy with a good work/life balance. Lonnie really wants someone he can go to sporting events with, and Jose would love to teach a child how to dance the salsa.

Our Home & Pets

Along with our two chihuahuas, Tilo and Opie, we recently traded the hustle and bustle of the city for the open and rustic countryside. We built a cozy two-story home with a large fenced-in yard that provides plenty of space to host family and friend get-togethers and BBQs. We love walking to the nearby playground with our nieces and nephews when they visit and taking our pups to the dog park on sunny days. Our peaceful subdivision continues to expand as families move into the neighborhood, building a secure sense of community.

Our Extended Family

Our families are both large and small. Jose comes from a large, close-knit family. He is the oldest of three brothers and one sister and is a proud uncle to six nieces and one nephew, all under the age of seven. The family gets together often for home-cooked meals and to celebrate every milestone with music and laughter. His family extends to California and Guadalajara, Mexico, where we traditionally make yearly visits to see his aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandmother.

Lonnie and his sister were both adopted through closed adoption by loving parents who promoted a strong sense of self and family. Additionally, Lonnie is the proud uncle of one niece and one nephew. Because of the close bond his family built throughout his childhood, multiple traditions continue to be shared, such as attending community parades, firework shows, sporting events, and playing competitive rounds of cards.

There is no doubt in our hearts that your child will be welcomed into an amazing support system filled with love and a sense of belonging.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our journey to adopt stems from our shared value of family and wanting to provide our child with the same kind of guidance, love, and support we both received growing up. We have an amazing and enthusiastic support system and want our future child to grow up with friends and cousins to play and learn with. We know adopting a child will have an amazing impact on our lives and truly complete our family.
