About Us

We are Robert and Maggie from a cozy suburb in Illinois. We were introduced in 2010 and married in the fall of 2016. Fun fact: We went to high school together but never crossed paths. Maggie is warm and compassionate, with a nurturing spirit that extends beyond her profession as a pharmacist specializing in oncology. Maggie enjoys walks with Ruby, our goldendoodle, exploring the neighborhood. Robert is a sports enthusiast who cheers for all Chicago teams. Robert is dedicated to problem-solving in his career in the chemical distribution field. Together, we share a love for adventure, often road tripping with hopes of visiting all 50 states. In our everyday lives, we find joy in the simple moments, whether it’s cheering for our favorite team, snuggling with our beloved Ruby, or enjoying a home-cooked meal. Our relationship is built on respect, shared values, and a commitment to each other's happiness.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We want to introduce you to a cherished member of our family: Ruby, our beloved five-year-old goldendoodle. Ruby brings joy and laughter into our home with her vibrant personality. Ruby's energy knows no bounds as she dashes around the backyard, yet she is gentle when she curls up beside us on the couch. She's a constant source of joy and comfort, and we cannot imagine our lives without her by our side. Our community has a welcoming atmosphere, where neighbors share a mutual love for dogs, as evidenced by the many friendships we've made during our walks with Ruby. Our cozy backyard serves as a gathering place for summer barbecues and lively gatherings with loved ones. As the seasons change, we enjoy being cozied up by the wood-burning fireplace in our family room enjoying movie nights.

Our Family & Friends

We're blessed with large and loving families. Robert has a brother and sister who are both married. Both of Robert’s siblings are expecting little bundles of joys this year! Maggie has three brothers, a sister, and a sister- and brother-in-law. This year Maggie’s brother and sister-in-law welcomed the family's first baby! Living just 15-30 minutes away from both sets of parents, we're never far from family gatherings. Weekends are often spent celebrating birthdays, engaging in spirited game nights, or lounging by the pool during summer parties.

Our Polish heritage influences our family gatherings with rich traditions and cherished memories. Christmas Eve, or Wigilia, is our favorite and is filled with traditional Polish meals, the sounds of Polish Christmas carols, and the joy of exchanging presents. Easter brings us to church to bless our Easter baskets filled with smoked meats, colored eggs, and sweets, which later become a delicious breakfast or zurek soup. Birthdays are marked with the Polish birthday song, “Sto Lat,” symbolizing a wish for a long and happy life. As we eagerly anticipate starting a family of our own, we look forward to passing down these treasured traditions while creating new ones to cherish for generations to come.

What Led Us To Adoption

The possibility of adoption fills our hearts with excitement and gratitude as we start our journey to create a big, loving family. Knowing early on that biological children weren't in our cards, we embraced adoption. Robert's uncle, who is adopted, has shared beautiful stories that inspire us. Surrounded by a supportive network of family and friends, we cannot wait to share our lives. Our hearts overflow with love and readiness to provide a nurturing home with laughter and joy. Adoption is not just a choice for us; it's a cherished opportunity to expand our family and fill our lives with even more love and happiness.
