Mallory & Larry

Family Type: Heterosexual Couple
State We live in: Illinois

dear expectant mother

We cannot begin to imagine the strength it has taken to lead you to this path. It is the most selfless and brave decision a woman could ever make. We are in awe of this significant sacrifice you are considering and want you to know we support you in whatever decisions you make on this journey. We are grateful for you taking the time to consider us as the parents of your child.

This world can be a crazy place, and we don’t even know how to begin to express why we would be the best fit to raise your child. Just know that we would love your child endlessly and would go to the moon and back to provide a life of love, support, and security for them. We would love the opportunity to get to know each other and experience the feeling that we are all where we are meant to be.

Just know that we would love your child endlessly and would go to the moon and back to provide a life of love, support, and security for them.

About Us

We met and began dating in 2009 when we were both active-duty Marines stationed in California. Larry is now a work-from-home IT professional, while Mallory works part-time as a leasing professional while building a dog boarding and training business. Larry enjoys reading and training in and teaching jiu-jitsu, while Mallory enjoys Peloton workouts, swimming, and training working dogs. We love spending time with our family, traveling, and creating memories through new experiences! You can also find us cuddling with our dogs and watching movies. We are an active, always learning, fun-loving couple that values family and friendship above all things. Our enthusiasm to expand our family has brought us so much hope and excitement to what this next chapter’s adventures will bring!

Our Home & Pets

Our plan was to always return to Illinois, where Larry is originally from and where all his family resides. We were looking for a forever home with space to grow our family. We purchased a four-bedroom home surrounded by farmland and horses and with our own fenced-in three acres. We are fortunate to be in a school district with some of the highest ratings in the state. We share our home with two pet dogs, two retired working dogs, and one current working dog. Each has their own personality, which fills our home with laughter, and they are fantastic cuddlers! We have recently added six chickens to the mix, and they are so funny!

Our Extended Family

We are so lucky to have so much family in our lives. Not only do we have our families through blood but throughout our lives, we’ve had friends who became our chosen family.

Larry’s parents have retired and now live in northern Wisconsin but frequently travel back to Illinois every month to visit their children and grandchildren. Larry’s older sisters and their families live a drive away, and we have so much fun getting everyone together for holidays and during the summers for a time the kids now refer to as “cousin camp”!

Mallory’s family resides in the Boston area, and we take trips out there each year to visit her sister’s family, father, brother, and close friends she grew up with as they also take trips to visit us. We love celebrating special occasions as a family, we love surprising each other, and we never take for granted the time spent together. Over the past few years, we’ve gotten into the tradition of planning huge family vacations together, which have made for some incredible memories!

What Led Us To Adoption

When we began dating, we always talked about a future together raising kids and wanting to give them every opportunity under the sun that we never had growing up. As fate would have it, we struggled with fertility issues and three years of failed fertility treatments. We truly believe all of our life experiences have led us here, to this moment, stronger as a team and ready to give a child the world. It is our dream to raise children to make a positive impact in this world and live a life full of happy memories and relationships.
