dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We appreciate you considering an adoption plan for your precious gem. We understand it is confusing as you try to figure out the best option for you and your sweet baby, but you are an amazing mother; we want you to feel loved and supported no matter where you are in the journey and promise to respect whatever level of openness and contact you choose. We admire your bravery and sacrifice to choose life and consider adoption as it was a decision made of great thought, love, and selflessness for the better good.

We pledge to always give our best, to love and support him or her, to teach him or her great values and traditions, and to provide every opportunity possible. We will always consider you a blessing and a part of our family because we appreciate the integral role you will play in contributing to our happiness should you choose us. Thank you for considering our loving family.

About Us

Marcia is an RN, and Maksim is a protection officer. We met 17 years ago in Jamaica and have been married for 15 years. We love all sorts of sports, spending time with our families, going on vacations, watching movies, and relaxing on the beach at night. Marcia is Jamaican, while Maksim is Russian. Our differences keep us attracted and bring out the best in each other. Our lasting relationship has proven that compatibility is not necessarily defined as similarity. We strongly believe in honesty, problem-solving, commitment, respect, trust, and forgiveness. We are future focused and goal and family oriented. We are each other's best friend, and we love to laugh and do things together with our children. We live a simple, humble, and content life.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in a suburban area. Our home is on half an acre of land and surrounded by a lake used for fishing. We also live in close proximity to the playground, some of the best schools (private and public), museums, churches, shopping centers, recreational centers, and the beach. Our neighbors are friendly and giving. We have a pool and a large front and back yard that we use to play basketball, skate, and ride. We have two beautiful and loving Siberian huskies, Bella and Chernuska.

Our Extended Family

Our families are hardworking and closely knit and enjoy family gatherings. Maksim’s mother works as an elementary school teacher and rides bicycles, exercises, and goes swimming with our children.

Together we have three adopted children (two girls and a boy), ages 18, 14, and 13, and a biological son who’s 12. All three of the older children maintain contact with their other siblings via phone or personal visits out of state once or twice yearly.

Our house has always been filled with children, whether biological, adopted, or neighbors. We believe our adopted children were brought to us by God’s choice and out of love. We have to treat them equally and fairly because we don’t know who God has placed in our lives; after all, three of the greatest and godliest leaders were adopted: Moses by the Egyptian princess, Samuel the holy prophet by Eli, and Jesus by Joseph of Nazareth.

Our Adoption Story

After the birth of our son, the thirst for motherhood intensified. Following the miscarriage of our twins, multiple failed fertility treatments, and the fear of never being able to gift our son with siblings or experience motherhood again led us to adoption. It is one of the greatest blessings, the same excitement we experienced when we discovered our pregnancy and eagerness in discovering the gender was the same during the matching process. Our adopted children are a symbol of love, happiness, resilience, possibilities, bravery, selfless choice, and hope. We want to grow our family again and hope to be part of the pregnancy and birth process.
