Dear Expectant Mother,

First off, thanks so much for reading our profile! We’re really looking forward to getting to know you and really hope we are the right fit for what you’re looking for. We can only imagine all the thoughts going through your head right now. As you decide if adoption is the right choice for you, please know we are very open to open adoption and want to make sure we work out a plan that you’re comfortable with too! We promise that if we are lucky enough to be the family you choose, we’ll bring so much love and happiness to your baby’s life.

As you read this profile, we hope you see how much we love to laugh, how much we love the people in our lives, and the types of exciting adventures we hope to have as we expand our family.

Being so connected to our families, we couldn’t imagine ourselves not being dads.

About Us

We fell in love after a date to the Mars Cheese Castle in Wisconsin in 2016. Since then, we have had so much fun traveling the world, sharing our thoughts on books, TV shows, the next party with family and friends, and the future. But most of all, we love being home with each other and our dogs.

Our family has a fun unwritten rule: Dinners during the week are always gathered around the table, no phones or TV on—just good company and (mostly) home-cooked meals.

The past two years have helped us get to know each other (and ourselves) better. Brandon spends most of his time without Max helping build a public research business focused on sustainability and social equity (or playing video games in the basement and listening to new releases). Max is a compliance paralegal by day and an avid gardener, bike rider, and golfer on nights and weekends.

Our Home & Pets

We currently live in the suburbs of a big Midwestern city (about seven minutes from Max’s family and 20 minutes from Brandon’s). We have worked hard to create a fun backyard with plenty of space to host family barbecues, water balloon fights, and (hopefully) a treehouse in the future. The real stars of the home are our dogs, Sammie and Frank! We rescued these sisters as puppies, and they run around the house, backyard, and neighborhood playing with anyone who offers treats or pets. It’s gotten to the point where the kids next door will shout, “Puppies!” the second they see us.

Our Extended Family

We are close to our families and see them all the time! We make sure to get together for birthdays, holidays, and sometimes just to celebrate a random Tuesday. Both our love of going on adventures (big or small) and live music come from our families, which means there is always a fun group activity in the near future.

We love spending time with our nephews, and they are very excited to be cousins, as is the rest of the family with another grandchild or niece/nephew.

What Led Us To Adoption

Being so connected to our families, we couldn’t imagine ourselves not being dads. We live for big family functions (and sometimes even the big family drama—ha!) But it’s more than that. We want to show our child the world and help them learn about themselves and how to be a person who cares about others. We are so excited to teach them how to ride a bike and debate over how much ice cream to spoil them with. But also, we understand how important this decision is. Most of all, we want to adopt because we will be great dads.
