When we were young, we both worked at the same restaurant. Back then, we didn’t know each other well and barely spoke to each other. We each went our own ways, and a year later, we saw each other again. Frank was so happy to see Mayumi again, and he hugged her so tightly. After six months of dating, we fell in love and got married. We now have a 16-year-old son who can’t wait for a sibling. We’ve worked hard and now own a successful assisted living facility business. As a family, we love to travel, go to church, go to the beach, go to Disney World and SeaWorld, or invite some friends over for food and laughs at our beautiful home.
Our beautiful and loving home has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. We are only about 45 minutes from “The Happiest Place on Earth” (Disney World) and all the attractions Florida offers. Our large home is perfect for our growing family with plenty of extra space for our family to come and stay over when they visit. Our neighborhood is new, safe, and very quiet. We are only a few blocks away from the community park and are very close to an amazing school district.
Most of Frank’s family is in Maryland and Virginia, although he was born in Washington. We love our frequent visits each year. We have lots of get-together parties for BBQs, cards, and swimming. Frank has one sister who has three wonderful kids. They come to visit and stay with us almost every year for family time while visiting some of our favorite local attractions.
Mayumi’s family is originally from the Philippines, but most of her cousins, nieces, aunts, and uncles are in California now. She has one sister who lives in Australia, but she visits us often. We look forward to traveling to Australia as a family to visit her one day.
We’ve always wanted a big family, but after our son was born, we struggled to have another healthy pregnancy. While we feel blessed to have had one child, we know our family isn’t complete. We’re grateful adoption may be the answer to our prayers of having another child to love, support, and provide for.
