dear expectant mother

We want to acknowledge the incredible strength it takes to consider this path for your baby. Your selflessness in seeking the best for your child speaks volumes about the love you hold in your heart, and we are deeply honored that you would consider us as potential adoptive parents.

Families come in all different shapes and sizes, and they are not limited to blood but can also derive from choice and love. We want to assure you that with your choice, we promise unconditional love. We promise to always prioritize your baby’s needs above all else and to provide an environment of guidance and support. We promise to teach them, to travel to different parts of the world with them, to cheer for them in all their endeavors, and to nurture their dreams and aspirations.

This is just the beginning of a relationship that we hope will continue to grow and flourish. We are committed to being open and transparent, and we want you to feel comfortable with us as a couple and a family. We believe this journey is not just about the adoption of your baby but about building a lasting connection grounded in trust and love.

Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your precious baby. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to potentially share our lives with you and your child. Please know we are here for you, and we welcome any questions or thoughts you may have as you continue your journey.

Your selflessness in seeking the best for your child speaks volumes about the love you hold in your heart, and we are deeply honored that you would consider us as potential adoptive parents.

About Us

As a couple, we are the definition of opposites attract. After meeting on a dating app, we were married on Valentine’s Day in Las Vegas by Elvis and have been married for four years, together for five. Brett is a laid-back, go-with-the-flow guy who has worked at his company as an office administrator for 17 years. He is a sports enthusiast who loves the Suns, the Buccaneers, and Sporting KC, and he plays soccer every week with his friends. Megan is a planner with big ideas! She works as a program manager overseeing university relations and the college intern program at her employer. Megan‘s hobbies include reading and, on the weekends, grabbing brunch with friends. Our family is blended: our 14-year-old, Kole, from Megan‘s previous relationship, and our three-year-old together, Jett (JJ). As a family, we like local activities, trying new foods, and traveling.

Our Home & Pets

We purchased our current home two years ago to support an expanding family. Our home sits on a half-acre lot with a big backyard that backs up to our local elementary school, and we live within the second best public school district in our state. Our cul-de-sac has many young families, with about 15 kids/babies who enjoy playing together in the early evenings. We are within close proximity to many walking trails, a community pool, and lots of local shops and restaurants. We are also a quick 20-minute drive from our professional soccer stadium and favorite college basketball team and enjoy outings to sporting events. We share our home with two dogs, Ronin and Ridge, and two cats, Kiah and Penne, all of whom love children.

Our Extended Family

Our families include friends we have chosen and family alike. Locally, we have a friend group of a few couples, all of whom have school-age and young children. We also have many family friends of ours and our parents who sprawl across the Midwest and provide lots of support.

Our immediate families are small but mighty. We each have one younger sister. Megan’s parents live in South Dakota, and her sister lives in Dallas with her husband and two-year-old daughter. Brett’s mom and stepdad live in Omaha, as well as his sister. Despite living in different states, we see each set of grandparents and our siblings at least once a month.

We also see our families for extended time over the holidays. Thanksgiving is our holiday to host (Megan is a great cook!), and both sides of our families gather at our home to celebrate together. Christmastime also boasts several fun traditions for us, including the Grinch Night, where we eat Grinch-themed foods and watch all three versions of The Grinch. On Christmas Day we wear our obnoxious Christmas hoodies, which are neon sweatshirts with a funny photo of a family member from the year. We look forward to bringing a baby into all of our family traditions and creating new ones together.

What Led Us To Adoption

From the start of our relationship, we discussed ways that we would like to expand our family, and adoption has always been a path that has been in our hearts. We have several friends who have been through the adoption process or have been adopted themselves, and each story has encouraged us more and more that this is the right direction. Through adoption, we want to show that family can take many forms and look different in beautiful ways.
